I had a Dog....

in #life6 years ago (edited)

I am not an animal lover. I am not much of a philanthropist either...I guess. However, you may see me help my fellow humans every now and then, but you will never see me feeding "homeless" dogs or cats in the street and you will definitely not see me caress a random, dirty dog just to show my "sensitive me" to the world. That's bullshit man!

I strongly believe in the wild nature of animals and I also believe that they don't need our fat asses to constantly feed them or treat them like they are real babies or something. They have their own dog or cat parents to spoil them, no? Nothing against animals, don't get me the wrong way. I've never harmed a "pet" even though I've consumed around 4 tonnes of meat and fish during my lifetime so far.

Oh yeah, another thing that I can't stand with the so called "animal lovers" is that they consume around 80 kilograms of pork, beef, chicken, fish, blah blah blah per week, but they love dogs and cats for some reason. Ninja please!!!! If you were born in a country that eating dog, cat or snake was a thing, you would lick your fingers too after you were done with your dog ribs!

Wait a minute, let's take a break because we've got news flash: Ned's discovering himself! The man's doing a deep excavation to his soul YO!!!!! Damn!!!!!!! Let's help the man to embrace his hidden world YO!!! Nikka pleaseeeeeeee!!!!!

Alright back to "dawgs" and dogs, I had a dog too...you know!!! Could you ever imagine? I actually LOVED Bruno (that was his name) like a best friend or something. Not every dog on this planet; just him. Just like I love my son more than any other kid (or human for that matter) in this world.

So, how someone like me loved a dog so much? Well, because he was MY friend! Because he loved me too. Because I raised him from two-days old. Because I was there when he needed me and he was there when I needed him. Because I would often share my food with him (I don't think another dog has eaten so much ice cream). Because I shared all my big secrets with him. Because he loved my human friends too. Because I was 14 years old when I first hold him and 30 when he "left" me.

It was June 11 2011 when he died, at the age of 16. Exactly seven years ago. I don't think that I am getting another dog during my life, but I guess I can be a "grandpa" to my son's dog (I am sure he will want one at some point). One way or another...I miss you Bruno. I hope you're well where you are now :)))

In loving memory of Bruno...My friend!

Street dogs can be very dirty and have all sort of diseases, so unless I am not 100% about their condition I won't pet it.
I live in South East Asia and they eat dogs, rats and all sort of insects. I don't judge but at the same time I am against animal cruelty. There is no need to cook any animal alive. I am against the suffering.
At the same time, if I have a dog I like to pet it and I don't want to mistreat it: It is not about treating the dog like a baby, it's treating the dog like your dog.

If I see a man pet a stray dog I don’t think he’s sensitive I think he’s retarded. Lol.

Nuka I wanna hear about your bumpers now too lol

It’s different claiming to be an overall animal lover and another thing to love one animal, in my humble opinion. I’m not really a fan of pets. Not that I wouldn’t have one or am not an animal lover either. But if I’m almost against pets altogether it’s because of my love for animals. RIP Bruno.

Excuse me while I go hug my dog now...

Be my guest bruh

kouklos einai!!! kalimera! :)

What's the breed of your dog?

The animals in their wild nature can survive by themselves, that's a fact, and the ones that survive in groups, well, survive in groups of their own species. I think the problem lies in domestic animals, not them but the damage we have done to them when we domesticate them. We got them out of their environments and made them dependant of us.

That is deep and I understand. I Really like dogs too. My dog always found a way to make me laugh from running towards me happily to farting when I scratch his belly (really true). Until he passed when I was somewhere far for my studies.
