RE: Don't Fight For Hills That You Can't Keep - Daily Meditation #22

This is an excellent reminder on knowing your limitations so that you can use your resources wisely. It's true that committing yourself to do lots of things when you don't have the time or energy to do, is just not conducive to one's well-being, mentally, physically or emotionally.
Nice write-up :)

Exactly! Why do something when it isn't smart, helpful, and doesn't feel good? Spreading ourselves too thin is something we do all the time. I don't think its intentional, so we need to develop the habit of noticing when its happening.

Not only just a habit of noticing, but also being able to say no or turn down things. Because sometimes, there are things that we might be good at and we're asked to do them, but it might not be good since they'll take up time and effort that we can't really spare...

Yes! Once you say "yes" to a large commitment, you are actually also saying "no" to all other options!

Yep. But saying no is actually a hard thing to. I still have problems concerning this, especially when it's teachers that ask me to do things, I feel guilty if I turn them down.
