RE: NEW YEAR, NEW RESOLUTIONS. DO THEY WORK?

in #life5 years ago

I had never thought of it this way before! You make a very good point! Intrinsic motivation is, I think, the missing piece in a lot of these people's wishes. We hope and pray, but we don't always want to work towards the goal. It's not wrong, just inherently human.

As for personally, I can say that my single resolution this year was to be happier and more productive than last year. So far I think I'm doing great! I'm not going to be down on myself if I don't do perfectly, but I'm also not going to be so stuck up to require that I toe the line perfectly on all fields. To err is human, to forgive (even oneself) is divine.

In conclusion, I think your idea is great, and I hope you find success in it! Thanks for sharing this with me, and I hope that you are blessed by the wonderful Creator.

Wishing you well this winter,
Gregory

Hi. I would like to thank you @thewanderingwind for your comment. Appreciate it a lot.

Also I'm very sorry for such a late reply. I just noticed that somehow I've missed your comment.

ps.
I was also wondering how do you handle stress and frustration once you realize that you cannot reach your goals and targets?

Yours
Piotr
