You probably didn't know, you are wasting alot of time in the name of being busy.
Suprised?
I was also shocked the very first time i discovered such a thing. So most of us have thought they are being productive everytime it comes to evening and they are feeling tired. Waking up very early every morning and going to bed late has tricked people to thinking they are using most of their time.
So according to statistics of most countries, the average life expectancy of a human being isn't that impressive but those few years can be put to maximum productivity.
In Africa where i come from its even worse, most people die at very early age, you know? We can't do alot about what our bodies can handle after a certain age. We can though value the most important things like time.

So how do average people use most of their time?

-An average person takes some good time cleaning the house, washing clothes and utensils everyday.
-Shopping for food and necessities.
-Most people spend more time in day preparing food.
-Some take a good time thinking about what to eat for lunch.
-Funny enough a good number of people can spend some good minutes snoozing the alarm clock everyday.
-Talking about politics and all those things they can't directly influence or do much about to change anything about them.
-Checking emails and social media messages, replying and checking out the pictures of most people on Instagram and facebook, status on whatsapp.
Does this mean all this time is being wasted?

Actually not really, but most probably.
You see, it's not that everyone should stop doing all of that.
But a question comes?
Have you ever seen someone so good at anything?
Of course, but what's that one thing you noticed about them?
And yes of course, they were so enthusiastic about that one thing that they stopped wasting time in things that can be detrimental to their already developed skills.
That's it.
PRIORITIZE
What ever you do, select carefully what is the most important and work on it. Let others always wait for as long as the most important thing is finished then they can be worked on.
This is an art for winners. They just don't move around doing every shit just because they can. They prioritize things and say to hell with irrelevant stuff.

Have you ever been in a situation when you have quite alot to do and some tasks are kind of more challenging than others?
You always work on the hardest task to avoid procrastinating about it in case it appears undoable.
There is always that air of relief after the biggest task is accomplished and the remaining tasks are just as easy.

OUTSOURCING

Okay, the thing is you can't learn to do just about everything in this world. There will always be things that just aren't in your line of speciality.
So trying to learn to do everything is waste of time.
I repeat, trying to learn everything is a waste of time.
So what should you do?
Pay someone to do that for you.
Remember this isn't money spent, it's actually money earned, because we all know time is money.
We can always concentrate on our work as others are helping us somewhere in other fields.
Outsourcing is the cheapest way of saving time and money.
Let that sink in.

STOP MULTITASKING

That truth is, i even don't know how to put it.
But, Multitasking is joke .
Let me get this even clearer, Multitasking is the best way to failing at everything.
It just can't do you any good at all. I realized this after comparing between the work i concentrated on and the tasks i was Multitasking at. I was disappointed that as i thought i was saving time, i was actually wasting it.
So what now
One thing at a time.
Do one thing at a time, if you need both to be done on time, then outsource it. I talked about outsourcing.

IT'S TOTALLY OKAY TO GIVE UP ON SOMETHING

Prior to what your history teacher told you in your college. Giving up is a healthy thing to do.
I mean, there is no point in doing the same thing over and over that it fails you over and over.
Change something or the course entirely.
This is one thing most people need to learn and unlearn the lies they have been told about winners.
Accepting facts is for the strong, and giving up too is for the strong.

Well i guess this has given us some insight,
Thanks for passing by.
As always.

I agree with this post as I heard these things more than once, I learned by trail & error how unproductive multitasking is, but I still can't seem to stop myself from doing it. (Maybe that means I don't want to stop enough?)

I think the post could use better formatting (headlines and center tag.) But I included it in my Daily Picks if you'd like to check them out.

Yes, i checked them out, nice work you are doing out there.

I have surely wasted alot of time mbu trying to multitask can you imagine how much time have wasted? And wat pains the most is this time cant ever be regained. But its never late I can change that and get on track right away. Thnk you for sharing my friend.

Thanks for reading, glad we can all relate.

thank you for your advice. I find it very valuable. If we focused on being productive rather than being busy, our lives would be much more fulfilling overall.
