Personal Growth: Learn How to Be Open-Minded
People with BDD can be very sensitive, and it's not uncommon for them to react negatively to even the slightest suggestion that they're wrong. This is why it's so important to be able to defuse sensitive issues, and learn how to talk with people with BDD. There are many people who have learned how to manage their anxiety effectively when dealing with people with BDD. In fact, management experts advise that a person suffering from BDD must learn how to talk with their problems, even if they're trying to avoid the person or situation that aggravates them. This will enable you to both learn how to handle difficult people and get your own anxiety under control.

"Being open-minded means being receptive to new ideas and information." - Albert Ellis | person | ideas | people | thinking} Unfortunately, this is just the beginning of the article. It doesn't get very far because the author wants to label all people with BDD as being "closed-minded". I've never met an "open-minded" person! Indeed, when I was a child nobody gave me any advice on how to think, and if I asked someone how to be open-minded I was told that I should be willing to look at all points of view. So I guess being open minded isn't what you need in order to manage people with BDD.
I believe that a person with a strong erotic mind tends to be closed-minded because the ego keeps them focused on things that don't matter. The more you focus on the negative things in your life, the more negative things you'll create in your future. If you can't let go of the past, your future will inevitably be the same as your past. By learning to let go of old beliefs about yourself and others, and by working on new ones, you can be absolutely open-minded and develop effective strategies for building your inner happiness and freedom.
Let's look at a real life example. Imagine that you go but-for-the-treats and you make a bad choice and buy a hot tub. But then you go back the next day and decide to go buy another hot tub. Your first decision cost you a lot of money, but it was based on a blind taste test that indicated that hot tub A made you feel better than hot tub B. You bought a hot tub A, because it said on the blind taste test that it made you happy.
On the other hand, maybe you decided to try out new ideas and open your mind to new possibilities. You made a new decision based on your new beliefs about yourself and others. Maybe, the new way to do things made you feel really good about yourself and also led you to make some changes in your habits and behaviors.
Here's what happened as a result of making these two choices. First of all, you made some positive changes in your life by choosing to be open-minded and try something different. And on the other hand, by taking the actions that you did, you also set yourself free from the old limitations that kept you from taking any action at all. That's the beauty of personal growth--you can build on your strengths and use your blind spots to strengthen your resolve in overcoming those things in your life that are holding you back. This type of personal growth is what will lead you to reaching your goals.

The beauty of being open-minded is that you have this powerful tool in your toolbox that can help you get over personal limitations. It's called your brain; you've got a wonderful tool for getting over biases in your life and in your brain. You want to be open-minded because your brain is only going to be helpful to you if you learn how to control your brain. In other words, you've got to learn how to think unbiasedly.
