Are You Complaining About Stuff That You Can Actually Change?

in #life8 years ago (edited)

What's the biggest issue in your life right now? Can you do something to change it? No? Well, then I hope some day your problem will pass or that you find a way of dealing with it. If the answer is yes, then I don't feel sorry for you.

Me in Paris - not complaining about anything.

I had a job that wasn't good for me. I quit that job even though I didn't have a new job. With a mortgage, car and other expenses it was a risky move. But two days before my last day in that first job, I got a new job. A job that has turned out to be one of the best jobs I ever had. Things will always work out, not necessarily the way you had planned, but it will work out. The worst thing that could happen was not getting a new job. In that case I'd have to rent out my apartment and stay at my parent for a month or two.
That would still be better than staying in that job, and complaining about the job to my friends.

Too many people complain about a partner that is this way or that way. Well, have you ever considered that it's possible to leave your partner? Being single is actually A-OK!

If you argue every day with your partner - leave.
If you feel like life is predictable and boring - travel.
If you have a lot of drama in your life - get some new friends.
Your boss is an asshole? - quit!

It's all very easy.
Don't complain if the issue is something you can change.
Less talking, more doing.
Just do it.
And all other cliche sayings like carpe diem and seize the moment.

I challenge you to think about what you can do to improve your life quality and to take one step towards kicking your problem(s) out the door.

Amen... I wonder if you've heard of MMI your idealogy sounds like theirs. I resonate with this... whining would just consume your energy... and leaves the problem unresolved ... offer a solution or leave - just like what the character "Charlie" in the two and a half men often said - something will come up and everything will always get back to A - OK .. or you make it come up - make it happen. Whining doesn't help it only leads to arguements or sourness. Just act and solve what you think is a problem or leave the situation if it sucks

I agree with you! I haven't heard about MMI, what is that? And yes, something will always come up, that's for sure :)

oh, they have been going around in Europe spreading positive energy and giving some financial education, I've attended twice and I love it, life changer! I'm not recruiting for them please don't get me wrong but since your outlook in life is already like this perhaps you could resonate with them , too- you can look up T. Harv Eker and the MMI would probably come out - I can't put a word in it cause people might think I'm already that which is not - all I know is that seminar has helped me become stable in just focusing on the positive and most of the time, I achieve my goals - cause like what T. Harv Eker said - what you focus on expands! Happy steeming and keep the faith!

That's interesting. I'll definitely check it out. Thanks.

Absolutely, it's all about choice, and there's no time like the present.

I would agree with you on that!

I'm stuck in the same situation as you were : "I had a job that wasn't good for me. "

I'm sorry to hear that! Maybe you could make Steemit your job? :)

hehe... I'm trying ^^ Are you succeeding in making it your own career?

I feel like I am, but not sure if others would call it success! haha

I don't know how I came across this article 4 days after it was posted, but you made my day with it! :)
You made me laugh (I like your style - simple, humorous and straight to the point) and you made me think, but you also kinda poked and moved me, light an idea...
I'm following you and looking forward to some more moving and inspiring fun you can bring!
