"Time has a wonderful way to show us what really matters." - Margaret Peters. When was the last time you did something just because you wanted, and not because you thought it would be the right thing to do? How often are we effectively guided by our own set of rules instead of blindly following the opinion of others, stereotyped trends, society,...? Just think about how life was when we were kids, when we jumped into rainwater puddles, ate too much icecream and didn't even think about cleaning up our rooms for days. Were'nt these the moments when we were truly free? We really shouldn't abandon all of these habits no matter how old we are, don't you think? Tonight I'll be eating too much pizza, drinking too much cocktails and singing too many karaoke songs, not hitting only one right tone - just because I can 😆 Happy puddle splashing, steemians! I took my boys fishing last Saturday even though we don't usually go to this particular lake this time of year. It was a great day. We stayed longer than anticipated because we were wading around in the water fishing. We caught a crawdad too.
I would say what ever you decide at a particular moment it is already written up there amd we only get what is kept there for us in our destiny box...
So what ever happens is already planned but we will never understand that
@surfermarly never give up on those who make us happy, we have and can take time for everything and more to do what really makes us happy regardless of our age, thank you for reminding us of so many happy things from childhood. To be honest time does indeed changes many things and by so we do change by ourselves as well.
While like you said it sure has been quite some time since I did what I liked to do but not what I had to do in my day life.While despite that hope it gets back and seems like you are going to have a great time indeed.

I do my best to jump into mud puddles moments even at the age of 33 currently to be in each moment just like the good old days and love singing and love your haircut. Yeah, I am guilty of eating too much ice-cream even now, haha. I try not to abandon those types of habits.
It's a perfect example I use very often. Kids.... they have no worries other then to listen to us parents lol... doing what they like, love and want... no obligations at work, no financial obligations (yet).... that's total freedom isn't....
