It was summer 2012 when I was given a skydive jump as my birthday present. First, I thought it was a joke, but then I realized that my friends had heard something about my passion for adrenaline sports. There was no escape!
On the 17th of June 2012 it was my turn.

Here comes the full GoPro Video of my jump. What I like most of it is my 'Sorry-for-being-stoned-face' at the very end :-D Please excuse that I am talking in German, but at that point of time I had still no idea of steemit and that this would be presented to a bigger audience here :) But I guess the pictures tell it all.

Pero la verdad es que cuando se abre aquella puerta, no piensas que es algo real. Ni siquiera puedes ver el suelo. Es todo especio. Con el ruido de los motoros, el equipo de gente que te anima desde dentro de la avioneta, tu propia adrenalina, el colega detrás con él que te vas a tirar contando de 10 a 0 todo parece de película!

I did that once! Except I was on the roof and didn't have a parachute. Some called it a fall... I called it a spring, because I bounced.
Oh dear, but it wasn´t a skycraper I guess!? Otherwise you would have some difficulties in writing now...?
It was a garage, but that doesn't take away from the thrill! (plus it felt like slow motion.)

Well... If I ever take up drinking again and find myself on a roof somewhere, I'll be sure to bring a camera!

Jajajaja, pues claaaro tienes que probarlo! Es un gran paso dejarse tirar porque te parece ABSOLUTAMENTE LOCO cuando se abre aquella puerta :-D Pero merece la pena, el feeling después no se puede describir con palabras!

El momento en que se abre la puerta y te dejas caer al vacío tiene que ser muy impactante; un subidón de adrenalina tremendo.

No sé qué haría yo si viviera todavía en Alemania. Uno ya no se puede sentir seguro en ningún momento. Agradezco estar en una isla, pero me afecta igual por aquellos que han tenido que sufrir...
