60 days of keto

The baked goods no longer yell their taunts, but merely whisper. Today I cut a small corner (a nibble really) of Irish soda bread baked by a real live guy from Europe, and the craving... quieted down. I didn’t need more than that.

I am learning to cook. Mostly to scratch some food issues that can’t be scratched any other way- but also because it’s kind of fun. Ive made Indian food (see the chicken masala and riced cauliflower below), as well as a ton of other dishes. Most of them involve chicken in one way or another. I’ve also learned to make carnitas, which are delicious. Is this what they call adulting? I might now have adulted.

I’ve eaten out twice so far on this diet, and had people purchase food for me (my two biggest food triggers- free food is my favorite kind of food). Both ended successfully- I ordered friendly things that fit within my macros.

There have certainly been some negatives- cutting my carbs down to get past a plateau ended up resulting in some insomnia, trying to find an electrolyte balance has led to some.... near pant emergencies. But the benefits have outweighed the negatives at this point.
