10 brief instructions for survival in terrible heat

in #life7 years ago

Outside it looks like 50 degrees. You go out for just one coffee and your mind is blurring instantly. You sweat like field workers in your new clothes and wonder where to hide. The air conditioner makes you sneeze, but otherwise, it is unclear whether you will live until evening.

It's bad. You have no appetite. You can not think and breathe. Imagine being somewhere on the sea with a glass of ice in hand, but the rest is far away, and if you knock an egg on the sidewalk, it will be baked for 10 seconds ...

Even the animals you meet on the streets look sulky, desperate and flattened by the heat. But there is nothing to be done - it is summer.

Thank God, there are some simple and well-established tactics to deal with the heat.

Yes, yes, we all know Water, water, and water again! Taking liquids is something so simple, but we often forget about it in the heat. Always carry a full bottle of water with you. Let you weigh and embarrass you! This will give you the motivation to drink more and more often. Hydration is especially important in the summer heat when we can easily get dehydrated.

Put cold objects - ice bags, wet rags, ice bottles or whatever you have on hand - to your body where the heartbeat feels best - wrists, neck, etc.

The Aloe Vera plant is very effective in the summer heat. Its interior, like jelly, has a cooling effect on both the skin and the body. Suitable for spraying and scrubbing.

Although air conditioners are much more comfortable, a healthy choice is a fan. Be sure that in the hottest hours of the day you are inside cool unless you really do not have a very urgent job outside.

During the day, lower the curtains and blinds so that a minimum amount of direct sunlight comes into the rooms you inhabit. Open at night after sunset. Create conditions for natural air flow between rooms.

Use cotton linen and cotton sleepwear. This natural fabric is breathable and protects you from the heats.

Avoid alcohol. It leads to dehydration and is not your friend in the heat.

Bet on light and raw foods - fruits, vegetables. Eat yogurt, poultry. Red meats are not recommended in the heat, as their treatment adds to the body.

If you have the opportunity, be at nature at least on weekends. The temperature in the city is always much higher than in the lush vegetation of a park or mountain.

Lightweight fabrics of natural fabrics will protect you from overheating. Let your body be free in them, avoid synthetic fabrics and tight garments. Bet on the bright colors.

What do you say to the most beautiful girl
The most beautiful girl in the world
How would you say
That her smile brightens your day
She is a site to behold
A treasure more precious than platinum or gold
She is poetry in motion, a work of art
How do I win her heart
She is the most beautiful girl in the world
How do I let her know
How deep my feelings go
How do I say that she is the sun the moon, my starlit sky
The apple of my eye
She is the most beautiful girl in the world
Never has there been, never will there be another such as her
To fill my heart with joy and laughter
She is the most beautiful girl in the world
How do I tell her my heart is true
What is a man to do
When the most beautiful girl in the world is you.

No point to devote you :))

Great tips! I didn't know about red meat not being recommended to be eaten during the summer! BTW...

Have a great day!

Nice suggestions. Among the foods that are most cooling, I imagine cucumbers, lettuce, and melons are especially smart choices, since they're so high in water content. I've heard that the cowboys of the Wild West used to tuck lettuce leaves under their hats, to stay hydrated on hot days. True story! I've also heard greens and watermelon are the most alkalizing foods. And the expression "cool as a cucumber" makes good sense. Sure is hot here in Austin, Texas.
