The Importance Of Grounding
Like all other animals we are electrical beings but what makes us different is that many humans are never grounded/earthed and this causes problems over time. We don't see animals wearing rubber soled shoes that insulate them from the earth yet we do this all the time without giving it a second thought. The truth is that we need to be grounded to be healthy. The good thing is that it's so easy to do; just step outside in bare feet for as long as is comfortable (depending on your environment). Whenever I'm in the garden I try to ensure I'm barefoot and can often be seen catching many a strange glance as I walk down the street barefoot. The strange looks I receive are most probably from people who simply do not know the benefits that grounding can bring.
The benefits of grounding can be felt instantly and improve over time so here are just a few of the benefits that have been shown in tests.
Instant results: Lowering of muscle tension which is measurable using an electromiagram showing instantaneous shifts in the ambient voltage, EEG brainwaves and also skin conductivity.
After a few minutes: This begins to have an impact on organ function and the circulatory system. Notable changes in blood viscosity can be seen which increases circulation and oxygenation of the blood. Changes can also be seen in the respiratory rate after only a few minutes.
After a few hours: Just 8 hours being grounded actually begins to change the bone density. Calcium, magnesium and phosphorus levels also improve after only 8 hours.
After several days: Several days of grounding shows greatly improved stress levels, improved recovery and less pain and inflammation after heavy work.
The more of your bare body in touch with the earth the better the effect so get your kit off and get grounded.
I'm sure future studies will show many other as yet unknown benefits but the pharmaceutical industry will do it's best to halt progress in this field as natural healing does not earn them any money and costs them customers.
Have you tried grounding? If not what are you waiting for? Give it a try. It doesn't take much effort.
Love everyone

This is probably the only day when you can dress like that so make the most of it!
I do go barefoot a lot while in foreign countries if I can avoid my feet being burnt. Most people wear flip flops but I do prefer barefoot when I can.
Indeed...it isn't very comfortable in the winter months but is still do-able with practice. Nice to hear you give it a go sometimes...bring it home though...have a bash in the garden or on the doorstep...it only takes a few seconds every day to benefit.
Such a great article! That's the true. I sleeped on the ground for 2 months then stoped for a while and again started doing it. I can feel what the differences are. In first nights you will feel uncomfortable. You wake up really bad, but after few days it will be a different story. It is really good for youe body and this method for me helps to have more energy in the mornings. My method is sleeping on the ground. Make the room tempeture pretty cold, sleep without socks. At night you will wake up whit a lot of energy and it will be really cold. But this.method for me is OP.
Thats's very interesting gofice, thanks. I'm going to try making a grounding sheet to sleep on as I don't fancy the cold (that's a bit too Wim Hof for me!) Glad you're getting the benefits of grounding. Best wishes.
Good luck for you! It is an amazing thing whit a lot of adventeges.
What an awesome post! A lot of your points explain why I just generally feel "better" barefoot and in the grass! Upvoted! and followed! Thanks @steemonkey
Thank you. It's nice to have an explanation as with that understanding comes a great, free tool that will benefit anyone. I dread to think how many people are taking damaging pills when a simple thing like grounding could cure their ailments. For me, most doctors should be all over this kind of stuff but its drugs drugs drugs (for now). Nice to meet you. Also upvoted and followed.
Yep- unfortunately our system is based on "sick-care" instead of health care. I cant tell you how much I learned from working for a holistic chiropractor years ago
Time to ditch those shoes!
Yes it's strange to me that the first port of call for most is a doctor who will invariably just put them on harmful chemicals. So often a simple, natural, harmless cure is available so it makes sense to me to try them first and go down the chemical route only if absolutely necessary.
completely agree- one of my favorite quotes...
Spot on. I suppose a doctor is useful with regards to giving a diagnosis, but when it comes to treatment, mother nature has all the best remedies.
cant argue with that!
