Let’s admit it, we all love fatty foods. But we are told about so many harmful effects of fats in our diet that it has become notorious and most people tend to avoid it thinking that it will harm their health. However, there are both healthy fats and unhealthy fats, just like good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. While some of your favorite fatty fast foods are unhealthy (sorry about that), there are many other delicious fatty things to eat that will only make your body healthy. There are many unhealthy fats, most importantly vegetable oils like soy, canola, sunflower, and peanut. But today, we are going to talk about a lot of health benefits of good fats. Do you remember how we have always been told that three essential components of our diet are Carbs, proteins, and fats?

  • It helps you lose Fat

Does it sound strange that in order to lose fats we have to eat fats? Well that is strange but true. Researchers have come to know that removing fats from your diet entirely to lose fats will not help in losing weight. Our body starts to store extra unhealthy calories from sugar and high carbohydrates instead of fats. As a result, we don’t lose any weight. In order to practice weight loss, it’s recommended that you keep up with taking the appropriate amount of fats and avoid taking too many carbohydrates.

Fats are essential for a flourishing and improving fertility in both sexes. They help the release and increase of the reproductive hormones that are important to ensure good sexual and reproductive health. Testosterone release in men can be reduced while fertility issues in women can be increased due to low fat and high carb diets. The right amount of fat consumption would increase the libido and release of hormones.

It will improve your mood, gives your brain more power, increase your mental activity and prevent you from depression. People can fall into depression due to their low-fat diet as well. There are studies that have linked it to suicidal thoughts as well. Given the fact that our brain consists of lipids, fatty tissues, and cholesterol, we can see why it’s important to consume the right type of fats. It’s recommended that our body receive its daily amount of saturated fats.

Some of the healthy fats can improve your immune system due to their mode of action against yeast, bacteria, viruses, and fungus. It can, therefore, protect our bodies from any of such diseases.

While doctors have linked the fats that are rich in omega-6 with a higher risk of cancer, it has been found that consuming highly saturated fats can actually lower our risk for several cancers.

  • Cardiovascular Health

The right kind of fats actually improves our heart health by balancing the cholesterol ratio, while bad cholesterol and omega-6 rich oils have been linked to an increased risk of heart disease.

Fat is good for survival and optimal health. It has an undeserved bad reputation.

I think most people, we would think the opposite about fat. Interesting the data you provide.

we only have to stipulate which fats we refer to, which ones are good, because the harmful ones we all know them

We need to understand that in order for us to be able to access our own fats store, we need to lower our insulin levels.

Hence a diet and lifestyle that lowers insulin levels is needed when having fats friendly meals.
