The Craziest Beaches Around The World + Quiz

in #life7 years ago (edited)

I love to travel as some of you may already noticed. Exploring new places, trying out new food and everything that belongs to traveling is my favorite. Of course watching documentaries about new destinations is fun and when I heard about those following beaches, I had to tell you about it!

Luxury is anything that feels special. I mean, it can be a moment, it can be a walk on the beach, it could be a kiss from your child, or it could be a beautiful picture frame, a special fragrance. I think luxury doesn't necessarily have to mean expensive. - Aerin Lauder

There are so many beautiful destinations on our planet waiting to be explored or wanted to be undiscovered at all. I have seen a very interesting documentary last week which showed special beaches around the world and I wasnt only fascinated by natures beauty, also the usage of it or what kind of animals are living at those places attracted me as well.

Everyone living here in Germany and the countries around it havent experienced a summer this year. We maybe had 10-20 sunny and hot days but most of the time was grey, the sky was covered with clouds, plants enjoyed a lot of rain and the temperatures were lower than usual at this time of the year. Now I want to bring back the summer for a little bit before we can welcome the autumn.

Anyway, enough talking. Here are 5 crazy beaches from all over the world plus a quiz after every listed beach.

( I will give you 4-5 possibilities to answer and all correct informations will be posted below at the end of the post )

1. Hidden Beach in Puerto Vallarta Mexico

This special place is located at the end of a small tunnel. You can only reach the destination by swimming through the small tunnel but during high tide you would have to dive through. There are only 3 guides in Mexico who are allowed to bring tourists to this place but it is totally worth it! There are literally no shops, no restaurants and no interventions in nature in general.

Normally the animals are living in the mountains of Koh Phi Phi but macaques and a few other monkey species love to take a quick bath in the ocean. Since the monkey beach is the only beach on the whole island, people and animals need to share this place with each other!

Why does the beach need police protection ?

A: Tourist protection for monkey-bites

B: To catch thieving monkey

C: Protect monkeys for tourists

D: Police protection has nothing to do with the monkeys

That´s why Eil Malk is also called "The jellyfish lake". But why are so many divers swimming and diving inside this lake? I thought jellyfishes use to be toxic? No these species are totally harmless.

Now it´s time to reveal the correct answers.

1. Hidden Beach in Mexico

The correct answer is B! In the 20th century, the Mexican government used the uninhabited islands for bomb exercises.

2. Monkey Beach

The correct answer is C! The island has police protection in order to protect the animals for humans. Tourists love to feed the monkeys with sugar, alcohol etc but only bananas should be good for them.

3. Pink colored Lake

The correct answer is A! The combination of the seaweed Dunaliella Salina and the bacteria Halo bacteria leads to such a coloring.

4. Pigs on a Caribbean Island

The correct answer is A! Pigs love to eat. Whenever tourists visited the island, they used to give food to the animals and to be as fast as possible, pigs have learned to swim in the water to get the best food available!

5. Eil Malk

The correct answer is once again A! The jellyfishes are living in the world's only ecosystem. The unique lake was caused 12-15 thousand years ago. It was a long time connected to the ocean until the structure of the island had changed. The lake and jellyfishes are now isolated to each other. The water can flow in and out but due to the isolation, the jellyfishes have no natural enemies!
