Elections do not matter. It's time to stop voting

"A politician thinks of the next election. A statesman, of the next generation." James Freeman Clarke

This is a bit of a deviation from my usual posts but I just wanted to post my thoughts on politics after the post election results.

I do not like politics, mainly because the entire framework deviates from a free and equal society. We have all seen the news. We have seen politicians both on the left and right get accused and sometimes arrested for behavior many of us wouldn't have attempted on our worst day. We have seen them constantly lie and betray the people that they were supposed to serve. There is a reason for this; they are human. Just like you, me and everyone else.

Why should these select few humans be given special rights over others? The right to make decisions on where we go, what we eat, what we can buy, what we own, where we live and how we live?

Answer: They shouldn't.

They are not gods, and have no right to say what we can do with our lives. When given the opportunity, they will more often than not force you to live in a way that increases their power and takes yours away. Thus by their design, they are held to different standards than us especially when it comes committing crimes.

So why do people do it? Why do people continue to vote and give more power to the state?

My theory is that they hate themselves and they hate others. When there a problem within a community, instead of solving it within the community, concerned citizens protest to the state to fix it. Since they do not like/trust themselves or their neighbors to sit down and find a solution, they bring in the state, who will (if they are lucky) provide a sloppy band aid solution that doesn't solve the actually problem; it just makes the people more dependent on the state. Take back your own life and don't leave it in the hands of the elitists at Washington. Every time we do, the politicians respond by lying, cheating, and stealing.

So let me end this short post by asking you a few questions:

Do you grab women by the p***y? Would you abuse your authority to sexually assault others? Do you make racially insensitive comments? Were you ever accused of bribery, embezzlement or money laundering? Did you ever expose yourself online to underage girls? Did you ever try to cover up a crime in order to protect you own interests?

If you said yes to any of things, you are likely a terrible person....and the perfect candidate for office.
