This comment is just a reminder to myself to read this article later. Please ignore :)

I didn't think a story about tennis would capture my attention as you have done. I love (no pun intended) tennis and often watch with my Dad the major tournaments on TV.

You took this so far beyond tennis and it was touching to the point that I was literally tearing up in the restaurant where I am reading your story on my tablet.

I think Claire will pursue tennis further and use her Mother's kind words. Can you imagine what it must feel like to have a parent look up and aspire to be like their own child?

For many reasons parents often don't have the opportunity to chase dreams do to personal circumstances. While some push their child through athletic endeavors past the point of the child's enjoyment, this mom like my own mom and dad encouraged me to follow my passions whether that be sports or missions work or the head of a company.

Parent child relationships are so critical in how young people develop and mature.

I think Claire may also stumble upon someone who can comfort her and possibly pursue a friendship or further romantic relationship with as she grieves her loss.

(Only thing I'd change would be the scores of 0 being "love" since it is a tennis piece). You may have done that intentionally so as not to confuse readers unfamiliar with the sport, but for me (a little ocd haha) I think it would make a really great story just that more realistic.

I think you handle the many different types of posts you do incredibly well. Most people find their own niche and try to perfect that, but with your background, you really know how to work multiple angles without sacrificing quality.

I now have to go back and read part one. (And brilliant to add questions at the end so people will tune in to see if they were correct) looking forward to more posts and continued success for you.

thank you for this long and beautiful comment. i love to see how my work inspires people. you should definitely read part 1 first to understand certain aspects of the story better :)
thank you for your feedback and the time to write all your thoughts down, really appreciate that!

Posts that take a lot of effort and careful thought deserve comments that mirror those posts

wow, such a sad twist I did not expect ... :'(

Keep up the amazing writing @sirwinchester, your writing style is truely something beautiful. <3

thank you! appreciate it!

this is awesome, keep up the good work!

thank you! will do my best!

I enjoyed the story, but to nitpick as a tennis player, the first set would have been over at 6-4 and the set can't end at 6-5 as you have to win by two unless you get to 6-6 and play a tie-breaker, but then the set score would be 7-6. Also, 30-15 couldn't be match point, if she won the point it would go to 40-15, not end of game.

Thank you for your suggestions! I edited the post.

amazing read...what an end :(

I know :/ it's quite the twist

wow what a story! exciting but sad at the same time. I think claire will manage alone, and she will train harder in tennis than ever

thank you! we will see ;)

I would definitely like to read more of this! Maybe claire can find friends to help her through such tough times. but either way she will keep playing tennis definitely

Will do my best to continue the story, stay tuned

very funny photos))

That was such a sad twist - and you've got a real talent for storytelling. Please keep going!
