Megan's Warning On Christmas Lies To Children 19/12/2017
Hello Steemian since getting older I actually like Christmas even more now then I did before that is unlike the company of those around me who just grew-up to hate it, but for those who do understand what this is really about I welcome you to the Christmas countdown 19/12/2017
With each day we will have a joyful reminder that there are now only 5 days left and 13 hours to go until its Christmas 2017.
So get those festive outfits together, grab those elvish kids give them some decorations each and lets enjoy getting ready for Santa's big arrival.

Megan a mom who has been spreading her message all over social media says that she cannot stress enough about the importance of telling your own kids that ipads, iphones and expensive toys are not given by the magical Santa.
The reason for this is because she says some families cant afford such toys which is absolutely true.
She says some children wonder why they got clothing or hand down toys from Santa while other children receive Ipads and expensive toys.
Megan says its her second year that she had a parent cry explaining that their children asked why they arent good enough to receive such toys or why Santa doesn't like them as they arent given the toys requested.
This is why Megan started to spread her messege.
Yes some will already shout back and say blame the parents for letting their children want such things in their life, but its not always the parents perhaps a friend has an Ipad and now your child wants one.
I also think some things could be changed for example dont tell children they can have anything they want if thats not possible instead you could say something like Santa is old fashioned and only gives children traditional gifts after all he is old.
Megan says it breaks her heart hearing this from the parents of these children and recommends for all parents to take the credit for the gifts.
In my opinion regardless of your situation firstly its your decision if you want to tell your children if there is a Santa or not and secondly you can continue this by using my method above just tell children Santa is old fashioned and wont deliver such gifts Ipads etcs have to be brought by parents, they can still write Santa letters you know just incase but hes elves are probably too busy for such things.
If some children get Ipads from Santa and others dont Santa is a busy old man who makes mistakes toys get mixed and lost some things are by chance there are all sorts of stories you can make up use what story suits your situation best.
Megan says lastly to leave less expensive gifts to be from Santa and those who can afford such things like Ipads are blessed and we should not forget what others cannot buy.
While this is about Christmas its true and is like everyday life for example myself I couldn't afford such things I have been struggling to buy a new computer for myself let alone alone a flashy phone or Ipad.

Good for Megan! I agree with her because it is the kids that get their feelings hurt. Everyone is always trying to "keep up with the Jones's." For those who can afford those gifts for their children, I hope they are also teaching them the true meaning of Christmas. And don't forget to give to those in need, not just at Christmas but all during the year.
I hate all the crap about keeping up with this and that.. are people really that silly not to know a tiny little update wont make much difference argh, but I dont think there is anything wrong with believing in Santa as I said I think parents could put down some ground rules about what he can or cannot bring. Same here I am so tired of hearing people talk about how much they have spent on gifts thats not whats important during Christmas, lastly as you say @whatisnew help those with less same applies on steemit but people are too greedy.

It sad to see how time have change in the last few years I have seen many post after Christmas online of ungrateful people moaning about not getting the right phone,car, toy or the wrong colour and make etc. Kids wanting ipad just so they can feel cool I remember just the other day a boy lost his ipad in the shop and obviously the mum was not paying attention.
Haha I like that part you mentioned about colour while yes a certain colour can be ideal but some gifts are so expensive does colour really make a difference? Like how ungrateful and yes some of the kids and teens these days are terrible but is it a case of blame the parents do you think? That is another point Ipads are darn expensive and everybody wants one like its water especially kids, thats is insane that they would lose the ipad for them its just not that valuable as they didn't have to work to purchase one.
The world get more complicated with technology in more ways than we know.
