Breaking a Binary

Bloom you shadows inside my lids,
lips at rest and breast slow rise.
Dream me dreams of equal wed
self acceptance, scissored thighs
and sweetness sweated night on night
like wild palms in desert wind
splay me out in arcs of light
read the mystery of my mind.
I am she for she and he
she for love that love is love
and she of love for love is me
damp fruit in dawn's forever hold.

This poem has almost like a mantra sound to it, a flow..like water and ripples and waves and undefined boundaries
What a lyrical way to put it. Thank you. <3
I think this is someone who has learned to accept herself (self-love) without seeking anyone's opinion neither giving apology for doing so be.
As much as I like the romantic exposition of the first two verses, I am much more enthralled by the declaration in the third verse
"I am she for she and he
she for love that love is love
and she of love for love is me"
This is a beautiful piece.
Well! Those would be some good dreams, indeed. This is very lyrical.
For some reason this made me giggle. ;)
this is something I'm going to have to mull over for a bit, but so far I like it. The last stanza in particular I liked the flow and word usage of.
Love it. Has a visceral quality to it.
I cant relate to this, i dont understand what point you are passing on this stanza please explain.
This is splendid. @shawnamawna.
Cool piece - I like the middle stanza the most. There's a beautiful contrast between an almost desolate feeling (desert wind/splay me) and self actualisation/realization (arcs of light/mystery of mind). Well done :)
I am she for she and he
she for love that love is love
and she of love for love is me
damp fruit in dawn's forever hold.
I love this verse. The choices of words are sweet in a different way.
Good work @shawnamawna
