Daffodils Extract Cures Cancer @senseicat
Researchers from RNA Molecular Biology Laboratory found a scientific link observing that this compound "blocked the production of a protein which is essential for growth of cancer cells.
"Effects on protein synthesis, ribosome biogenesis, and p53 stabilization would all contribute to preferential killing of cancer cells," according to the study.
The yellow flower is a symbol for cancer awareness in many countries and has been used for centuries as a natural remedy for cancer.
Studies have shown that side effects from unmonitored use of daffodils, such as chewing on the stem may cause reactions such as rashes, fainting, and even extreme reactions such as brain disorders or collapse of the lungs.
Further collaboration with pharmacy will help test the chemical diversity and identify and isolate the key chemical to become the lead in fighting cancer effectively.
