RE: Principle of the Day

in #life7 years ago

What an incisive and true principle, people have huge capacity for great kindness and great cruelty. I have heard of the looting going on in the aftermath of the hurricane, as you say there is no middle ground.

It may sound strange but the pictures of the flower should remind us that we all have a good heart sometimes we just forget!

Thanks again for such a thought provoking post.

Thank you for your thoughtful reply @scottish01.

Yes...seeing the news out of the Caribbean, the States and elsewhere....the desperate situations there....had bleujay thinking about how we really for the most part are not aware of what happens when people are pushed to extremes. And these circumstances may perhaps give us pause enough to think through this sort of thing......choosing to be objective rather than subjective.....rational rather than irrational.....thoughtful of others rather than preoccupied with self.

Such a set of circumstances gives opportunity to realise our need of a power greater than ourselves.....a situation in which the person comes face to face with his weaknesses....in such a time perhaps becoming interested in who God is.

That is an interesting thought regarding the rose. The potential for a good heart comes with knowing the One who is absolute good. We begin by believing in Christ Jesus and then by learning His word under a pastor trained in the original languages of the Bible.

So glad to hear you can appreciate the post.

All the best to you and your family. Cheers.

Holy freaking moly!
Your principle just hit me hard :)
I hope you're alright out there Mon Ami
everything okay?

Thank you for your reply @englishtchrivy.

Indeed...after reading your post.....bleujay came back and read this principle and your reply and thought the same thing.....Oh My Goodness.....

Oh yes...things are going as planned....will send you a note in chat....no worries...mon ami.

A bientot.

okay, that's good to know
I thought you experienced a mishap, too
no worries - everything's okay now but I wonder about something so I posted it anyway - basically the title of my post
and I think 90% of what we get - we are responsible for yes?
the rest - basically out of our control - and the worst sometimes with a very heavy impact, too
but we just have to laugh at it - and if not today - one day we shall :)

Certainly in the misery department....much of it is self induced....brought on by wrong decisions and such.

However it is God who graces us out.....time after time despite our bad decisions.

When it comes to something one has no control over......my mind picks up the story of Job....or of Daniel...all for our benefit...God knows best. Sometimes for the purpose of nudging us in the right direction and sometimes for the purpose of learning something...yet always for our benefit. Romans 8.28 All things work together for good to those who love Him.

And yes....they say...Time heals all wounds.

And in the end we realise that some things we take for granted are more important as a result of an experience. All good. Life is fragile and yet we forget.

Thank you for the opportunity to think on these things. …sobering as they are....so glad you are still here. ^_^

Kind Regards mon ami.

i agree !
only we could hurt or allow ourselves to be hurt indeed

I wanted to write the Romans 8:28 - but I can't remember the verse
so thank you for writing that
I'm having it printed and framed ! It's my favorite verse! and yet I forgot the verse hahaha
It's similar to the Pronoia :) - I learned about the verse before I did about the pronoia though
otherwise I wont get to appreciate the pronoia

yes.. I guess this incident just brought us closer
am sure glad to be alive, too
you know if some people are like cats and they have 9 lives
this is my 5th - supposed to be - death
not that am afraid to die though
the angel of death seems to have been always hesitant or my guardian angels are just superb at doing their job!
Thanks be to God! Cheers!
gotta go - sleep tight Mon Ami and stay safe!

Perhaps people need to rely on faith more, I do think that if it's something that has been forgotten in recent times.

I think that we all need to have a strong foundation in belief, whatever that belief and faith is, it should help us strive for better.

Very philosophical for a Tuesday night :-)

Thank you for the engaging and intelligent reply.
