Little Things People Do That Make You Question Their Intelligence (Part I)

Humans are the most intelligent species yet known in the universe. Our intelligence has brought us from being hunter-gatherers in remote eastern Africa, where we all originated, to being the undisputed masters of the entire world.

Human intelligence is the currency, the fuel that runs the world we know. Human intelligence is everywhere. Anything we touch or see is a result or a product of human intelligence.

However, even in such a world whose very foundational basis is human intelligence, it is not uncommon to see human unintelligence. Oh yes, humans are equally as unintelligent as they are intelligent.

This series of posts is about such unintelligence. Here I am going to mention a few things that people commonly do that prove their unintelligence.

Share Clickbait Articles/Videos on Social Media

Clicks are the currency of the internet and as is the case with actual currency, everyone is always trying to rob you of yours. So it is not surprising that companies use paid clickbait to rob you of your clicks and help them earn money in the process.

Everyone hates clickbait and why should anyone like clickbait anyway! But if you think 'what could be worse than clickbait content?', well it is coming across clickbait content shared by your loved ones - family or friends.

People who share clickbait content on social networks are a special kind of stupid. I'll tell you why. First, they themselves get duped into clicking on whatever that bait link was and as we know about clickbaits, it is almost guaranteed that the actual content hiding behind that bait link would be unsatisfactory or not even half as cool as it had appeared to be.

And second, those already disappointed people, who had just got duped, then share the exact same clickbait for others to fall into the same trap. It really takes a special kind of stupid to do that. And I don't even want to get started on those '1 like = 1 prayer' things. Anyone who shares that nonsense is guaranteed to have an IQ less than that of a goldfish.

Block The Entire Supermarket Aisle While Shopping

2.jpg

For some reasons yet unknown to science, people go into full idiot mode when shopping for groceries at supermarkets. It is rare not to visit a supermarket and not see people blocking aisle after aisle.

And the sad thing is, for a lot of people it's not a matter of stupidity, it's a matter of not giving a damn about anyone else. The lack of situational awareness among supermarket shoppers is sometimes mind-frying.

Everyone knows that there is a proper way to park your shopping cart in the aisle and that is to park it parallel with the aisle and only a few inches from the aisle. But for some reason, people think that the cart is supposed to be parked right in the centre of the aisle and that too diagonally. Because who cares for other people's inconvenience!

Really, people who cannot even do an activity as simple as supermarket shopping without causing inconvenience to others cannot be anything but stupid.

Jump Onto The Latest Health Fad

3.jpg

People generally have unhealthy relationships with their bodies and so they're always desperate for a solution. Whether it is to reduce weight or cut fat or get a glowing skin, whatever. But what irritates me the most is when I see people around me, fall for the latest health fads just because everyone else is falling for them mindlessly.

Take the example of the gluten-free fad, perhaps the biggest one that exists. Gluten-free diet came into existence because of people who suffer from celiac disease which is a disorder where their bodies cannot digest gluten which leads to damages in their small intestines.

Now, normally, only these people who suffer from celiac disease are supposed to follow a gluten-free diet. But somehow, for some unknown reasons, a few years ago people just assumed that going gluten-free is good for everybody and it then started the whole gluten-free movement where almost everyone mindlessly fell for it just because it was supposed to be 'da kewlest health thing, babe'.

And the sad thing about this entire episode is the demonification of poor gluten whose intake is actually beneficial to our health as it helps lower toxic heavy metals in our bloodstream and reduces the risk of getting colorectal cancer among other benefits.

People who are stupid enough to fall for health fads generally end up doing far greater harm to their bodies and health overall than any good. And this is why it is not at all surprising that their intelligence is a big question mark in the eyes of the observer.

How true ,,,,

Yet everyone has the same brain .Its easy to make people believe and ever time you show them the wrong path , all you doing is destroying humanity.
Its how we choose to use it. Mistakes do happen and with mistakes came solutions. First , we need to except our mistakes and than only will we be able to solve them.
lets try to change the world for better .Lets destroy our egos .

haha yeah, we all do have the same brains and yet the differences are stark!

Sir @sauravrungta you're right. You are the most wise peraon i have ever seen. Keep going. I alway enjoy your posts. Keep it up

What pisses me off mostly, is those friends on social media who share posts with captions 'Type Amen'. The people posting this content are just promoting their pages.

Yeah, the pages on fb are using "tag your friends" or "type this or that" are doing it to promote their pages.

This series could go on for a very long time. LOL. I have totally lived the supermarket aisle thing. I can understand the cart being out in the middle of the aisle but you have to be aware that there are people just standing there staring at you and waiting for you to move. I once was waiting so long I just moved the woman's cart myself. As for the health fads, so many people are followers. If we hear about something that is "popular" or going viral then we just must jump on the bandwagon. Diets are such a great example of this. Paleo, Keto, etc, etc, etc.....

haha, yeah although this can be an infinite series, I think I will keep it to 3. lol

Oh yeah, I hate the total disregard of people around you when in public places which is almost everyone these days. Yeah, people just HAVE to get on the latest popular thing, just for the sake of it!

You are missing an important one.

They are telling you about a great movie or series and out of nowhere they tell you a spoiler about the ending :/

Oh yes....I hate them spoilers!! I have had a fare share of my movies and TV shows spoiled by my friends.

Although supermarkets are better when compared to others, the way people push shopping carts at the supermarket is far way intolerable!!!

Intolerable is an understatement ;)

Haha :) then I think the carts should be used with more ease, along with the proper force required.
