Going After Your Passion

There is at least one thing that you can still do even if you are not paid for doing it or even if everyone else withdraws their support from you. This can be what you are actually meant to pursue after - that is, going after what you are passionate about, because that is where your fulfilment lies.

How much motivation does a fish need for it to swim? Obviously none, because that is its own way of survival. A fish will not struggle to adapt to swimming, in the same way, a bird will never need to enrol into an aviation training academy to learn how to fly. When you do what you are engraced to do, you will discover how effortlessly you will succeed.

Do not let anyone judge your actions or inactions by their own standards. For example, if you judge a fish because it lacks the abilities to walk on bare floor or to climb walls, then you may not see the fact that it is not designed to walk on floors but to swim.

Your inabilities to perform some tasks may not be because you lack determination, but it may be because you are not built to undertake such tasks, just like the scenario of the fish I gave earlier.

Some motivational speakers will hype up your morale and make you think that you have omnipotent abilities without letting you to know that some things are achievable and some others are insanely impossible... but no, the word "impossible" is not among their syllabus. At the end of the day, if your achievement does not match up with your expectation, you may start to think that you're a misfit.

Just like fishes cannot climb walls but can swim, you have to define your abilities first before pursuing after your passion. This will help you to position and channel your inner energy towards the right course, not following after shadows and missing the objects that cast the shadows.
