Friend or Fiend?

in #life6 years ago

Most times the person that fights you is not a random person, it may not even be your "village witch" but someone you have regarded as your friend and have taken closer to you and possibly revealed some secrets to. Of course, someone that does not know anything about you may not succeed in perpetuating evil against you. This is why you should be careful of the people you call "friends".

Some friends are just fiends in disguise. This is what the popular proverb explains as "wolf in sheep clothing". If you have had a farming experience before, you will agree with me that what attacks a cocoa tree is not animal from outside but the rot from within. Once it has eaten it up from within, the tree will be dried to the outside.

Some of your friends may want you to succeed but not more than them, and as such, they may have the tendency to impede your advancement when you try to move ahead of them.

Have you ever wondered why some of your friends will be quick to sympathize with you if something bad happens to you but will be reluctant to congratulate you when something good happens to you? Are you supposed to be experiencing only bad things?

Sometimes, it is the secret that you shared to your friends that they will leverage on to secretly fight you. As a matter of fact, your secret that you cannot keep to yourself, do not expect anyone to keep it safe for you. If you need it safe, then keep it to yourself.

The truth is; your greatest enemy is not far from your circle of acquaintances. From the experiences I have gathered over time, I can tell you that some people's hearts are not as fair as their faces suggest, so you need to be careful of who you keep close to you.
