Forgive Them

Humans have not yet attained perfection, and even you yourself; you are nowhere near perfection, so why do you expect perfection from someone else out there?

As long as we still relate with people; and in our everyday lives; we should expect people to err against us, that is why you need to take your forgiving spirit in handy everywhere you go to.

When you expect people to treat you perfectly, then you might be disappointed. That is the reason I advice people to expect less from people, to avoid disappointments. But it is humourous to think that some people still bear unforgiveness in their minds - and funny enough, from the same type of offense they were forgiven of - but they are finding it hard to forgive others.

Forgiveness is not the good you do to others, but it is actually the good you do to yourself. You do not forgive others because they do deserve the forgiveness, but forgive them because your mind needs peace, and your heart needs to be lifted off someone else's burdens. Remember; ain't no burden as heavy as unforgiveness.

Whether the offenders say "I am sorry" or not, the onus is laid on you to forgive them. The truth is, they may not even be aware they erred against you, and bearing up grudges against them would only be hurting you inside.

One of my life mentors one told me that he has an advance forgiveness for the people that will offend him. And this is the way to prevent yourself from being entangled in the shackles of unforgiveness - expect the offenses, and forgive as they come.

So guys, look back to that person that has offended you in anyway and forgive them from your heart; this is what we are meant to do as humans.
