Discovering Your Unique Gifts - Part 2

Two days ago, we took a look at the first part of the ways someone can easily discover their gifts and we considered some important pointers towards self-discovery. Here, we will be looking at the second part of it. Remember, it is in trading with your gifts that you'll find fulfilment.

1. What Do You Do With Ease?

No doubt, there is something you will find very easy to do, this is without recourse to what you studied in school. Even without anyone teaching or training you in that, you just discover that you can do certain things with ease; that could be where your gifts lie.

I have a friend who is very good with drawing. Whenever she handles pencil and plain sheet, she will begin to make amazing sketches. Even looking at something for the first time, she can create a mental memory of that thing and replicate it on paper. Even though she didn't intend to study fine art, but her gifts were very visible for all to see, and now, she has tilted towards art. She's now a very celebrated artist and owns her own private art gallery. If she had continued with nursing science, she might just end up as an employee in the local hospital, but her gifts made room for her to be known.

Find out that thing you are engraced to do effortlessly, that could be a pointer to where your gifts lie. You don't need to compete with anyone for your gifts to emerge, your gifts will naturally make you to shine brighter.

2. Your Physical Endowment

This; sometimes; might appear very tricky, but your physique could tell well about your gifts, For example; you can't be a 5footer and be wishing to play basketball professionally. But if you are 7feet tall for example, you could be naturally tilted towards basketball. Also, as a lady, your shape could drive you towards taking up career in; say; modelling, etc.

The truth is, because everyone is taking a particular career does not mean it is suitable for you too - you need to look inwards and discern the one best for you. A fish; no matter how talented it may be; cannot exist well outside water, but when it stays in water, it will swim effortlessly. In the same way, a bird does not need to join the airforce to learn how to fly, it is already inside it. You need to discover that thing that makes you unique and trade with it.
