NOT ALL THOSE WHO WANDER ARE LOST

in #life6 years ago

“Man is lost and is wandering in a jungle where real values have no meaning. Real values can have meaning. Real values can have meaning to no man only when he steps on to the spiritual path, a path where negative emotions have no use.”

Lost is not only a man who loses the track of the way to a certain point, but also the man who loses the track of his dream or destination. Similarly a man who wanders around cannot always be considered lost and a man who does not always seem lost may be lost. It is good if a man keeps his mind to his goal, but there is no bad in wandering around and searching for other things of his interest. A man always needs time for himself, he needs space where he can breathe easily and let all his stress out.

It was beautifully read that:

“O, men of my sort used to go, long ago. Wandering on paths that other men have not seen. Behind the sky. On the other side of the rain.”

Lost or Wandering:

A man is considered lost when he wanders aimlessly, when he has no idea what he wants to achieve or what his dream is. He keeps on looking at different things and is more interested in what others are doing. On the other hand a man who has the charge of his life from within is not considered lost when he wanders, he wanders with wonderment and amazement. He does not If a man wanders simply to seek truth, he is not considered lost, he may go to some extreme extents wandering here and there to find or catch a reason.

Finding the Right Path:

A man may also be wandering just to find the right path or the right destination for himself. One cannot just choose the path everyone else is choosing, it may seem okay at first but as one starts taking steps further and further he gets to know that the path he has chosen is not the right one for him and it may also be too late for him to realise that. Even if a man does find the path of his dreams he may still seem lost. He gets hits by a lot of difficulties and barriers that stop him from going any further but he tries his best to get over the difficulties and jump over the barriers that stop him, he needs to stop there and try to figure out what is happening and what he should do and after reaching is goal he needs to take a break and wander, and he should take some time off that he could spend on himself.
Thomas Metzinger quoted:

"When you are simply observing your breath, you are perceiving an automatically unfolding process in your body. By contrast, when you are observing your wandering mind, you are also experiencing the spontaneous activity of a process in your body."

Conclusion:

In the end, it does not necessarily mean that a man who wanders has no destination in his mind, he may be wandering because he may have an objective in mind and a man who is as curious as a cat cannot let go of things easily, they may go to great lengths just to figure out small things. A person should understand himself first before he could decide what is right and what is wrong for him. If he wanders trying to understand himself than he is not labelled as lost. He is wandering so he gets aware of what his heart and his mind desire, it may be difficult at times as to what to listen to, his heart or his mind, he wanders trying to figure out which one to go with in the present situation.

Jiddu Krishnamurti once said:

"Follow the wandering, the distraction, find out why the mind has wandered; pursue it, go into it fully. When the distraction is complete understood, than that particular distraction is gone. When another comes, pursue it also."
