story of a young handicapped Moroccan painter realizes his works with his feet
source
Karima Jouadi is a young Moroccan self-taught painter who uses her feet to make her paintings.
Passing through the Al Kamra square of the city of Asilah, located in northern Morocco, we find Karima Jouadi, surrounded by her finest paintings made with her feet. This Moroccan self-taught painter has learned to be autonomous and to live from this gift from an early age.
Karima Jouadi, 36, is from Ksar El Kbir. She takes up the challenge at the age of 15 and uses her feet to carry out her works. Since then, she has decided to overcome her physical handicap to provide for her family and was able to set up her first exhibition in 1995. Today, Karima has more than thirty exhibitions at the national level (Rabat, Casablanca , Tangier, Marrakech, Tetouan) and international (Cadiz, Madrid, Barcelona, Gibraltar).
Self-taught painter
Karima Jouadi has learned to paint alone, without any classes or training in painting. She chose to create and exhibit her works in the open air in order to better publicize her talent and to guarantee more visibility to her achievements.
