At some point you are willing to change or improve something in your life. Sometimes it is hard to understand were to start or what even to do. The personal development plan can help you with that.
A personal development plan can help you reach the goals you have been dreaming about. Whether you want to take on new challenges, enhance your work performance or change unhealthy habits, creating a personal development plan is a great way to ensure success.

How to start a development plan? It is not so hard as it seems so. As always it can be a little confusing at the beginning, but you will have no problems in it in no time.
Here is a few ways you can do that:

  • Begin a Journal. Take notes on the areas of your life that aren’t working quite good for you. Usually it is better to focus on one goal at a time to stay focused, however, you may feel like tackling several goals at once. Pinpoint specific areas in your life that have burdened you for months, or years. For example, if you smoke, now might be the time to make that goal to quit! Areas to consider for improvements o changes: health and fitness, relationships, career, finances, habits and lifestyle choices, education.

  • Make The achievement list. Get a piece of paper and begin writing down what you want to achieve. Create four headings at the top of the page. The first heading should be "Goal To Achieve" and the next four headings should be "One Month," "Six Months," "One Year." If you like, you can continue with "Five Years" and so on. Under the "Goal To Achieve", make a list of things you want to change. For example, "Health" or "Education." Then under the time headings, state what you would like to have change by that time in your life.
Make sure your goals are stated in the positive. For example, "I will.." not "I might" or "I hope..." The more confident your statements are, the more motivating they will be for you.
Be specific when you write down your goals. For example, instead of "I will lose weight" try "I will lose 5 kg by increasing my activity level and decreasing my eating."
At the bottom of the page make a section called "Action Steps" and write down all the steps you will take to help push you towards your goals. For example, "I will walk ten kilometers per day" or "I will go exercise to a park every workday."

  • Prepare Yourself After you have taken down the achievements, you maybe see that for some specific achievements you need skills. So maybe it is time to consider of doing some night classes or taking some courses on the skills you need. You will be more inspired by getting involved in your achievements, also you will gather new skills witch will open new opportunities for you in life.

  • Find a Mentor. This is probably the hardest one, but it will give you the most boost. Most of the successful people, had a mentor at the beginning of their career. So try to find a mentor for yourself in the field were you are willing to grow. It is actually not so hard, the main reason is to talk to other people, so you might put on achievement list first, to learn how to talk well :)

Keeping a Journal is nice I used to do that in the Past but nowadays I post it Directly on Steemit it helps me to keep my Emotions in check.

Steemit is a new way how you can do it. It really doesn't matter how you do it , the main thing is that you do it :)

It's like the saying-

The thought is what that matters.

Everything you do starts with a thought :) so yes :)

Thank you for sharing mate. This has been quite inspirational and I will keep it in mind to better develop myself.

I hope it was helpful :)

Ive found that writing stuff down has definitely helped me to take more action. Not necessarily a diary or journal, but just things I need to do. Also, like you said a role model or mentor is super important. Find someone who is successful and start to emulate what they are doing

yeah it is very important to write things down . As i have seen with myself that i read my journal i think that it was written by another person. Really we are changing every day and by writing down we can see this progress :)

Thank you for sharing this post with us... great work! I followed and upvoted you.. do visit my post
