One of those Days
My day started off a bit odd. But very peaceful.
The kids stayed over at a friend's, so no kids to wake me up. Yet I woke up super early anyway, much earlier than I usually do.
The first thing I had was my current favourite juice: Apple, Carrot, Celery and Ginger. It went down soooo good.
But the truth is, that was pretty much the highlight of my day.
Everything else that's happened after that juice was definitely not as pleasant.
Important but emotionally draining conversations took over most of the day.
Had to accept that it wasn't meant to be a day for resting. Which I so desperately needed.
And to top it off?
When I went to pick up the kids, one of them had an accident.
Blood... lots of blood.
Nothing major, but also not minor enough to just brush off.
So here I am, sitting with her as she sleeps because it's way past her bedtime.
And we're still waiting for the ambulance to come.
Don't ask me why NHS direct decided this needed an emergency ambulance called out to us.
But I do know the cut is too deep for me to treat on my own.
If anyone is interested, I took a picture of her wound and made it a bit more artsy to cheer myself up.
It doesn't look gory anymore, but if you don't like wounds, don't look!

Damn - I’m sorry. Sounds like a tough one. Emotionally draining important conversations... I know how they feel. It’s heavy. I hope they have/had some sort of conclusion that brought some lighter feelings back. Take care of your sweet daughter - tell her I said HI. Hope that ambulance comes soon now. Hugs!

Haha yesterday was a day and a half! The ambulance came an hr later and still told me to take her to A&E anyway to get it glued. We finally got home around 1.30am. Was so tired, but got a chance to have some one to one with her, so not that bad ;)
Today has been much more relaxed!

Thanks lovely! We did need to go to A&E after all, but so glad they didn't make her get stitches. She'll be fine soon! And today has been an easier day :)
