Gyming Thursday

Oh, it's been too long since I've last stepped into a gym. I used to love going to gym then I stopped.
One day I woke up and realized I'm fat. and weak.
I hate being fat and weak. So I'm back in a gym.

Let me tell you this: it's hard to get back into IT. Everything is so heavy and I have get out of breath easily. I'm also bothered by the whole distance to the gym and changing and ugh. So many excuses. I've become the mediocre male. It's really disgusting.

Still, there is a silver lining somewhere.
One, is that I am in the gym despite all this. That's good.
But the mental side of it is still exciting to me. The thing about the IRON that is always, always a honest friend is alluring.

In the midst of everything, is something that you have control over. Sure, coins might go up and down. Sure, your gut might be wrong and your trade might go to shit and what can you do?
Maybe you did something wrong, maybe you missed some signal or maybe...the market just did what the market did. Who knew that shitcoin1 will dump today? Maybe tomorrow will pump but you can't really control this, can you?

That's the beauty of the gym, is something you have full control over. You make the time to go, you push yourself, you go back tomorrow. It's a grounding habit that can give you peace of mind when things go wrong.
When things go well, you can leave the gym feeling like a champ, a superhero...even when you were weak and out of breath.
I love this. I focus on this.

And I go again tomorrow.

Make that iron humble! Have to say that FEEL YA! I hired pt just cauz she is kinda awful person yet she makes me do so much better in gym. And you are so right about that gym is just one thing you can control in your life, it really helps not losing sanity :)

You know, best thing at being fat and weak is that you can do something to that. You can stop being both ^^ I've been all my life a fatty(lol) then something just snapped in my brain and decided that this shit stops now. Now I have lost like 35% of my body weight in 6 months ^^

DAMN GURL! But seriously, congratulations. It's actually damn hard to lose weight when you LOVE food. I mean sourdough bread is like my oxygen, do you know how many calories that thing has?
A LOOOOT.
So losing weight is so much about self-control and grit and looking angrily in the mirror: WHY don't you go away...fatty! hhaa.
I never had PT. I learned by myself but the motivation part of having a PT is something that might be worth paying for...in another episodes of comparing prices: how much do you pay for a session there? :))

Has your life improved since being slim?

Tell me about it! It's damn hard to avoid things when you are chef and baker:D Basic gym membership in here is anything between 15€ up to 70€/month and with pt it depends a lot also. When i hired my pt i took 13x60min sessions and it was approx 700€.... so it's expensive :D

I would lie if i said that nothing has changed, ofc it's improved. People treat you very differently if you are fat or slim. Also people that you have known for years treat you differently. It is kinda weird, still just trying to get used to it that everyone "has right" to comment your body cauz you have changed.

Much like you, I haven't been to a gym for years, and it would be difficult for me since I'm traveling so much, but I exercise every morning before leaving the bedroom. I'm not doing much, I barely exercise 10 minutes each day, but that's enough to make a difference.

Glad to see you're getting back into shape. Work hard and crush those weights! I completely agree with you, when things you can't control go wrong, a good workout can lift you up like nothing else. ;)
