Cool Cousin, a tool for unique traveling experiences

What is Cool Cousin?

Thanks to the @originalworks contest, I've had the opportunity of being introduced to the website and app Cool Cousin, a global decentralized ecosystem that strives to innovate traditional traveling agencies. The foundation of the platform are the locals (Cousins or Pro-Cousins) and the travelers.

My experience with traveling agencies

My family has chosen to travel through a local agency multiple times because of their need for security, they wanted to know that everything will be set when they arrive to a new destination, without having to worry about airport and accommodation issues. But unfortunately, there were a lot of downsides to their decisions that I was only able to point out years later. In most cases, traveling agencies will provide full offers that include they having dealt with all the technicalities of the trip but most of the time they will only provide you limited options, the destination being places that are filled with tourists. They also focus on luxury hotels and services, instead of trying to find well positioned accommodation at the right price-quality ratio.

The rise of the popularity of online platforms such as TripAdvisor and Yelp has undoubtedly helped people have an easier time finding better places to visit while in another country but there is a very high potential that businesses or even customers can abuse these websites by faking reviews and therefore misleading customers.

The main objective of this app is improving trips by enabling the customer to customize their own traveling experience based on the unique knowledge of locals.

How can it do that?

Cool Cousin offers the possibility of browsing through various people, and picking whoever you think has the most similar personality to you. Being able to discover locations through people, gives you the best shot of living the most authentic experience while respecting your vision. It's just like having a cool cousin in every city of the world!

About the token CUZ
