I don't know..
I just went to a psychiatrist that was referred by my one of my friends, I was diagnosed with depression and mixed anxiety. These past few weeks for several times I'm experiencing panic attack and having hard time to breathe.
Just like the doctor said, I have some personal problems (just like you), problems that always repeating on mind. I thought I can just get over with it, I thought depression it is just something like on a movie that never happen in real life, but it wasn't.
I'm having hard time to sleep, I lost my appetite, I overthinking all things happened in my life.
I don't want to talk to anybody, I just want to be alone, so this is how depression kills you inside.
I didn't know this will be serious, everyday I lost interest to do something, I got some medicine prescribe by my doctor, she said we will have a 2 months therapy.
I realized no matter how strong or tough you are, you can still experience the same situation that I have. I always pray to God to help me with my condition and I know he will never fail me.
If you are reading this and you have someone like your friend, family member, colleague having the same situation, give them your support, don't mock them about their condition, this is a serious matter that needs attention.
I studied pyschology in school and I always found depression so, confusing. Its intangible and subjective, so I cant "feel" or "see" your depression, and therefore its an invisible enemy. I know some people who struggle with depression and the way they describe it is terrifying, like drowning, or sufficating. They often say they would accept physical pain over the weight of the depression, if they could choose... it sounds unimaginably terrible.
I am sorry that you experience that. I am however glad that you place your hope in Jesus. He doesnt stop every pain, in this life, he doesnt erase every difficulty, but He is ever present, and always with us, Emmanuel = God with us. He is the one who stands in the fire with us.
