If you are Rock, stand up like a Mountain! Upvote to support the Standing Rock Sioux in North Dakota!

As you should know, the Dakota Black Snake (Access Pipeline) is currently trying to force it's way through the sacred land of the Standing Rock Sioux in North Dakota . Right this instant,thousands of people stand in protest against the construction of the pipeline and have been for months now.

I saw just today where the authorities there attacked a group of people, women and children among them who were simply praying, with batons and pepper spray, unprovoked! These people are defending their land and their clean water! We as a community here on Steemit can and must band together and support our brothers and sisters there in their time of need! Trevor Hall is one of my favorite artists. He released a song August 31, 2016 , dedicated to the Standing Rock Sioux in North Dakota.

Trevor wrote " This is about WATER. This is about protecting one of life’s most vital resources for our children’s children’s children. For Black, White, Red, Yellow, Brown. All Colors. All Nations. All Tribes."

Trevor Hall wrote the following song to inspire them to continue their fight and to help raise money. While I know we all can't just take off and go stand with them on the front lines, we can still support and pray for them right where we are!

If you are a rock, you must now stand up like a mountain with these people! This is a song entitled “Standing Rock” and Trevor also calls it a prayer.

He says that he along with his friend, Aaron Edwards were so inspired by all of the warriors out there on the front lines laying down their lives for WATER for the land of Standing Rock, that they were compelled to offer this song to help provide them with the essential things they need.

He so eloquently says that:

" They are mountains in and of themselves … touching the sky with their peaks of strength, love, and selfless service. But these mountains need their own water in the form of food, tents, blankets, and other materials in order to keep standing tall against the black snake.
