Wow, a shocking but real talk. China is quite a popular place, and i guess the vast growth of Chinese economy makes it look that way. Though its not just about China the believe of higher quality expectation from expensive stuff is everywhere in the world. When your product is more costly we tend to see it as having more value.

Anything state owned, or operated makes stupid $$.
Everyone else takes a backseat.
Education (or mis-education) is a fantastic profit maker, not just in China, but ALL over the world.

Too much homework!
Yes. It is a worldwide phenomenon but in China it seems even more so. They are used to having low quality stuff there so the only way to increase your chances of getting something that isn't fake is paying more money.
Haha, wow, that's quite conical. That could just encourage scammers. Some would just offer less but get more by promoting themselves. Well business strategy to me anyway. Thanks boss
