Hahah this is true!
The Chinese omit the 4th floor in many of their buildings, too. Apparently the character for 4 means death. ☠️

There are no room number 13 also in some hotels. It is accepted as a bad luck

most likely at 13 numbers unlucky numbers, lol

yes @patrickulrich that I know maybe because of the absence of 13th floor because it's a very identical number with bad luck

No, they are afraid of the number 13.

Mmm..lol..fear of being unlucky.

hahah many still believe that

also 1 and 4 :)

Yes! that is still a question on me why they don't have 13th on it.

It's mainly superstition. With such a fear of 13 being unlucky they leave it off so people don't realize they are on the 13th floor.

Wow I have never noticed this before! It is always like that? Next time I will check it out!

It's not always but about 80% or so of elevators actually do this. They're usually slicker than what this one looks like in that they will place the last number in the lower row as 12 but then start the next row as 14 so you don't see the 13 missing as easy.

Woww that is interesting, next time I will pay attention to it!
