Hey fellas, good to be here today, Weekend is upon us once again, and it's turning out to be a sunny one here. Hope it's all good on those ends? well, congratulations.

So, I kicked off the "Quotes from around the blockchain" series a few weeks ago here, and for some reason, I hadn't the time to make it past the first post. In case you're wondering why that is, then no, it wasn't because I couldn't find some awesome stuff to share with everyone on here, it, however, had to do with me who wasn't looking deep enough to find them. Regardless, this one showed up as a miracle on my discord notification earlier this morning and I was hooked. For starts, I thought the title looked rather short and a bit unfamiliar to me, which was pretty exciting. And you know me, guys, I just had to take a look.

Long story short; Glad I did.

Today's quote features something unlike we've ever seen or given much thought to. I mean, of course, there are times when we have feelings such as this one, but never have I seen it being expressed in texts or brought to so much light and colours like this post is. Don't be left outta the dark, It's "JOMO", by @ejemai.

Missing out on some of life's important moments has its perk. It may feel bad, but there always is some happy place. The recent wave of crypto and the need to jump in early on certain transaction has seen so many people jump into the fire, all in a bid to make it quick. I believe there are things we are not supposed to have no matter how good they appear and there are also those things we must have no matter how dirty they appear. Knowing what works and what will, is the first step to knowing if you are going to have a FOMO or a JOMO moment.

In this post, the writer explained how perhaps it isn't such a bad thing if you lose out on a few 'good' things. I mean, chances are that better things await you in the future and that it might not work out anyways.

He explained how he missed out on a few opportunities in the past that looked promising, not because he didn't know about them when the craze was on, but because he decided to stick to his principles and gut feeling no matter how good or bad it was eventually gonna turn out to be. Somehow, he realized these opportunities weren't what he wanted, nor did they best represent who he was.

And guess what, He was right! While throngs of people and friends in the nation went on rambling about how Ponzi schemes were changing lives for good, and a few supposedly 'enlightened' individuals called in on radio programmes to speak praises and to argue with the ones who truly understood, things eventually took a tailspin , families lost a lot of money, and everyone got to realize that they were tugging the wrong side of the rope the whole time.

There's indeed joy in missing out on some stuff in life if we'd just slow down and evaluate ourselves. Frankly, not everything good is for everyone, and you don't have to always get caught up on the wrong side of things every time as well. Maybe if we learn to understand ourselves a bit more before leaping at every exciting news there is, we could avert some problems. Better still, we would leave that opportunity to the people who are better suited for them. And the world becomes a better place.

Concluding, there are moments where we feel we should go all in, and there are moments where we feel we should hold back completely. Whether FOMO or JOMO, know thyself. know when to take, to hold. Know when to let go and march forward. And soon, someday, as we look back in retrospection, we'd only be full of thanks and gladness, and the joys of missing out.

Thank you!

You are absolutely right! Joy of Missing Out sounds weird but there are several times when we have been very glad that we did! Thanks for this beautiful post
