No idea is new. Or better put, no idea is ABSOLUTELY new. In every new or creative idea is an idea that is copied. The great Albert Einstein in his words said,

When I encounter young and vibrant individuals and try talking them into believing in themselves and being creative, they always tend to ask me

I believe most of us steemians are thinking 'creativity' is creating something new out of 'nothing'. When creativity is mentioned, or when I preach original content to new steemians, they tend to be discouraged, thinking its creating something totally out of existence.

But then, there is nothing like 'NEW' in creating original contents. Every 'new' idea has it's roots on some preexisting ideas.

Isaac Newton was wise to say,

In order to see farther, I've stood on the shoulders of giants.

Every 'new' idea in business, corporate dealings, family, marriage, relationships, technology, medicine, law, etc is an old idea whose weaknesses has been further hidden and its strengths fostered.

Every 'new' idea passes through the steps;

Weakness or Problem Identification

Creativity is derived from the honest zeal to change a situation or condition. Once the problem is identified, and the weaknesses of old and existing ideas or principles identified as well, then there comes a need for creativity.

Strength Borrowing

In every outdated version of a program are elements that can't be discarded as they are the pillars of that idea. The strengths of the already existing ideas and principles are being borrowed by the creative thinker. You borrow ideas from places with similar problems. You borrow the techniques that has been deployed by others in tacking same or similar problem. With this you could discover what worked for them and what didn't.

Second Thought / Deep Analysis

Then you'll need to analyze these ideas figuring out their weaknesses, strengths and successes. It is only when you have critically analyzed these preexisting ideas that you can improve the idea. With time, the old idea will gently become so old that new ideas will flow out of it.

Redefinition

This isn't actually a step, its a combination of the effective completion of the previous steps. Here, the weaknesses of the old idea has been either removed or hidden and its strengths improved and redefined. You replace ill-fitting components with great ones and this will help restructure your idea and give it a new birth.

Once you understand this, you can create absolutely anything you could think of. Making 100 posts a day on steemit will be the least thing you could do.

For there is really nothing like a NEW idea.
