Kathryn's Story

Since the age of 5, I have always been in love with art. I always had that love, no matter what my family thought of me and art. Then, as a teenager, I have realized how I got my love for art, whether in music, literature, portraits, or photography. It all came from my father's side of the family. They are all artistic, and I became even more obsessed. My mother's side of the family, however, thought I should be more realistic and be in profession that makes money. I roll my eyes at the thought of "making money in professions". Nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't my passion to be in a profession where I had to be under someone that was going to pay me in dollars for tasks that I don't enjoy doing.

I have struggled with that for years. I've been depressed about it, but the one thing that kept me together was writing and art. I have never lost my touch to art for 21 years, and I won't lose that touch ever. Not when I'm so close to that dream of making a difference to the world with art and writing. I even came up with "Olive's Café" so people can enjoy my writing and see my vision. I went to college, but not to be a teacher nor a manager. I went to college to explore more of my art and to learn more about literature and language.

Not only writing and artwork, I have enjoyed films and music with great emotions and thought-provoking messages. It gets intense and mind-blowing!
