Here's some motivation for you...

Working on my bio to post on my crowdfunding campaign and came up with a little backstory of my life and journey as an actor exclusively for Steemit.

Wallace Carranza

is a Latino Actor/Filmmaker based out of Houston, Tx. Growing up in a rough neighborhood, his parents made sure to keep him off the streets by pushing him into extra curricular activities, playing baseball, basketball and performing arts. In grade school, he began to realize his passion for performing and enjoyed storytelling by acting out characters in books. He joined the Drama club and dedicated his time and focus to mastering his craft.

Recognized for being a original and creative writer, English teachers took notice and encouraged Wallace to continue exploring his imagination. It was in high school where his entire drama class asked him to write an entire sketch comedy show which turned out to be a huge success. He enjoyed influencing the many range of emotions as an actor and a writer and decided that was what he would do the rest of his life.

Wallace continued to perform in college shows and some local filmmakers took notice. He started working with Director Stephanie Saint Sanchez of La Chicana Laundry Pictures. Her production would later gain popularity when she started the first Latina film festival for Women, Señorita Cinema.



His passion for filmmaking grew exponentially and the work opportunities began to fall in place. He started working with local latino hip hop artist, Chingobling collaborating on several sketch comedy videos, building a decent following on Youtube.

He started developing his own Youtube content under the name, Drunk Cooking, producing several characters and short stories. With only a camera phone and a huge investment building his computer he took his storytelling and imagination even further impressing several producers and filmmakers in Los Angeles.

In 2013 he was cast in the independent film, B.O.O.S.T. a tv pilot drama produced by the award winning, Lone Stars Entertainment Filmmaker and founder of "LSE" Jeremiah Ocañas, understood the potential for greatness in Wallace, becoming a mentor and brought him aboard Lone Stars as a creative director/board member and the results immediately poured in.

His role in B.O.O.S.T. blew the door open as a professional actor and his career has sky rocket in success. Wallace signed with Neal Hamil Agency and immediately started booking work. His resume now includes a recurring role in the hit tv show, Queen of the South and several commercials and feature roles in network tv shows such as NCIS: New Orleans and the political documentary, Hillary's America.



Wallace Carranza looks to continue building his resume as an actor and filmmaker by developing his personal projects including several drama, comedy series and feature films ready and waiting to be funded.
