Why I say "YES" ๐ to NEW YEAR'S GOALS and "NO" ๐ ๐ป to RESOLUTIONS! ๐๐ฏ

I hope you enjoyed a lovely New Year's and have recovered from the craziness of the holidays. I know spreading all that expected holiday cheer can be stressful for many.
As for me, a post-holiday holiday sounds good right about now! ๐๏ธ Somewhere warm 'n sunny ๐๏ธ with a poolside cabana and a fruity Daiquiri ๐น in hand... but...
Oh sh#t! Another New Year's has come and gone... and now, it's dreary January.
Omg, now I have to do "my resolutions" and transform myself into an amazing person sometime within the next twelve months. Bad habits and all!
NO. F'ING. WAY. NOPE. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. LIKE EVER. ๐
I resolve to screw New Year's resolutions. This has been my one and only resolution for quite some time now... and guess what?
IT FRIGGIN' WERKS. ๐ฏ
At least it does for me. Don't get me wrong, New Year's is a choice time to reaccess both short and long-term goals.
KEEP IT SIMPLE. โ๏ธ
It's easy to get caught up in the high fevered pitch of self-help commercialism this time of year. Avoid late night weight loss infomercials and Instagram makeup-up tutorials (and yes, even the man make-up ones).
Unfortunately for us, real life isn't as charming as a Helen Fielding novel. Life is complicated and can be uncomfortable at times, but goal-setting and knickers shouldn't be.
Remember, easy does it. Pace yourself. Keep what's working. Pivot or drop what doesn't.
FAIL FAST, FAIL OFTEN. ๐ค

Consider your beliefs. Tweaking detrimental beliefs may help you to achieve your goals sooner.
Is FAIL a four-letter word to you? If so, change your belief that failure is bad and learn to embrace it. Failing is essential for learning.
GIVE ZERO F*CKS. ๐
Your goals are YOUR goals. Their purpose is to serve your self-betterment and not what others might want or expect of you.
YOU DO YOU. ๐
Sssooo, you've done all this goal-setting and still haven't achieved what you set out to do...
Relax. Don't sweat the small stuff. Forgive yourself. ๐ You're perfectly human. ๐ There's still time ๐ ... and most importantly, simply enjoy ๐น and appreciate each and everyday! ๐

New Years resolutions generally serve one purpose... they give you something to look forward to "breaking" in the New Year! ๐
And of course, they also serve to allow you to get blazingly drunk (as one example) on New Year's, cuz you've vowed "never again" after just this one last time.
And it works great, well, right up to the first opportunity that comes along a few weeks into the ๐ New Year ๐ that causes you to break 'em! ๐
Haha! When I RESOLVE to NOT DO SOMETHING EVER AGAIN, I'm all like...
And then this inevitably happens... 'cause I just had to do what I resolved NOT to do... ๐ค

a very nice post. anyhowโ making resolutionsโ is not so bad. because you have to make some resolutions and set a goal to achieveโ it. learn from the past mistakes and never try to repeat it. keep posting your ideas like that. stay blessed <3

Happy New Year, All I can say is Look into Flat Earth, it changes your perspective on EVERYTHING. I'm 47 and always wondered about certain things but never tried to get the answers duh.
I heard flat earth and looked and now new years and christmas and everything I thought I knew I found out was not really real. If you have 2 hours to WASTE watch at Eric Dubays History of Flat Earth and you may be surprised at what you learn you actually BELIEVE ! We all have are flaws and its nice to try and be a better you for the new year, please chech it out! Peace
