RE: Principle of the Day

A beautiful rose and a precise and accurate principle. There is never any middle ground when it comes to human nature in a crisis. It does bring out the best... and the worst.

Sorry I almost missed this @bleujay!

Greetings @meesterboom......Always appreciate you dropping by.

Thank you for your kind reply.....your wording brought to mind Charle Dickens....It was the best of times...it was the worst of .....well now we will have to have the rest of it...will we not?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
English novelist (1812 - 1870)

Must say the internet is convenient. Sounds like today....does it not?

So happy to hear you enjoyed the post.

Wishing you and yours all the best......Cheers.

You would have been forgiven...no worries... ^_^

edit...sent you a message via chat...

It's a fantastic piece. I remember in school was when I first read Dickens. I like a lot of the classics. In fact I think my idea of a Victorian gentleman may steem from an amalgam of readings like this :)
