Lotto Fever

So almost everyone I know regardless of financial stature looked with baited breathe as the results for the 6/58 Ultra Lotto of the Philippines.

The prize is about PHP 903,290,152 or about USD 16669735. So to say that it's a boatload of money is an understatement.

So in the office some of the folks were asking some of our messengers and those going to line up to buy tickets for them.

The way it is you get to choose 6 numbers from 58 digits and you have the following Prize chart.

3 winning numbers - PHP 20 (37 US cents)
4 winning numbers - Up to PHP 3,800 ( 70 USD)
5 winning numbers - Up to 280,000 (5164 USD)

Although if you get 5 numbers it's going to be such a heartache because you were just one number off from winning the jackpot!

I got swept up and also sent some money as one ticket costs about PHP 24 or 44 US cents.

Who knows I might get lucky one of these days and with a potential pay out of almost a billion pesos anyone would be tempted to take the chance.

Which brings me to another discussion I had with some friend that people often try for that miracle shot or get rich quick schemes as the idea of taking it easy appeals to us.

In a way I think this is why some people are so hooked with Cryptocurrency as there is a chance to be that next Bitcoin Millionaire.
