Voting Power down to 56%; I'm reducing the votes from 100% to 50% from my steemvoter rules, from yesterday's contest
This post is in regards to the "contest winners" post I made yesterday, in which I rewarded 20 people voted on in this post with slots in my SteemVoter rules.
I had mentioned that I may adjust the voting percentage if my voting power drops dramatically. In a day, it's been cut in half, so I'm expecting to see it near zero by tomorrow if I leave it like this. So, I'm reducing all the rules from 100% to 50%, and will adjust from there.
This will affect the following 23 users (3 of them are in from a previous contest), so I'm "mentioning" all y'all so you'll see it. Note that there's a Chrome plugin called "Steemit More Info" which adds a "Mentions" tab to your "Blog Comments Replies" etc menu bar. The "popup" or "toast" notifications don't always work (especially if you're away from the computer!), so it's useful to check that tab along with the "Replies" tab. Anyway, here are those affected:

I feel like you are really into the autovote stuff and maybe I just piss you off with my anti-bot rants, so I will not keep checking up on you, just know I wish you the VERY best!
Not upset; more, disappointed. Your feelings are valid and they have an impact on you, but I grew up in software development and understand what is happening here, tried to share it with you, and decided that it might have seemed like I was attacking, so stopped trying. To me, words a bot says are just words the bot's author is saying, in an automated fashion. And they screw up, sometimes, and have to edit their bot's output, and sometimes even apologize.
I stopped drinking a couple weeks ago, and am starting to dip my toes again into software development. It's nowhere near as fluid as it used to be, because I am forgetful, but I've written a script to help me tabulate the votes from this contest I ran, and used the "steempy" command-line interface to create my friend @professor-why an account -- he's the one who shared the Flame Painter program with me a few months ago, which started my artistic output here. That same weekend I visited him, we signed him up for an account, but account creation is taking too long, so I bought 6 STEEM from the SBD in my account here, and then created it for him, which was really neat!
I know there was someone news-related you had wanted to create an account for, and IIRC I was going to donate to her cause. Did you try going the "official" route, and the account is still in limbo?
If you would like, I can create the account for her. As with my friend, I'll use a temporary password which she should change, and she should also change the four "keys" (on the Wallet tab, under Permissions).
Anyway, I'm also working on something larger which I'll share later, if I'm able to complete it. Right now I'm stuck but I think I'll be able to progress.
Back to the bots, people couldn't stop the automobile when it arrived, either -- although it looks like "they" might be able to stop it (or at least, stop driver-control), now, what with all the pedestrian-ramming going on...
My interest in auto-voting is renewed now only because I decided that MinnowBooster returns were dwindling and I'd find something else to do with the STEEM POWER in my account, and looked at a couple other options but decided to give back to "the local community", i.e., have my followers (and anyone that sees my post) decide who should benefit; I had people vote on 3 others, and the top 20 were added.

Becky, TVOI News. She is not really doing well, I don't think she is up for this right now. Her husband was supposed to be getting out as early as November, no later than January. Now they say July. They fry her computers and cell phones every few weeks, she can hardly keep her facebook page going. But thank you for the offer.
The rest of that was kind of bullshit, a bit "judgey" but whatever. I said I did not want to bother you, and wished you nothing but the best, and if that is "distancing myself" OK. I do not like bots. Humans who give automated replies are assholes too, usually. Being "disappointed" by me is sort of useless, it is not my job to please anyone. And all your calculations are sure to make you money, and that seems to be what drives all the "big players" here. I guess ned turned over control of a bunch of his power to someone who started promoting soft porn. That will pay off, no doubt! And the bots like the soft porn, I have never seen that flagged...

Listen, I am getting my chain jerked by the government right now, I am worn to a nub on MANY fronts. I have posted a couple things since then, including a post saying I finally realized I can mute bots so I am staying. Congratulations on the sobriety, lets just chill and let this fade into the past. I do not want to lose your friendship. And I will take your kind donation and convert it to a donation to Becky and Michael and let them know it is from you.

Yes I knew that would happen. 10 votes at 100% will reduce your power a day. So if you had 20 steemians doing that then I am surprised you are at 50% :p
