What is your preferred method for writing important notes?

Many people think that writing notes is just random writing of information without a plan or a distinctive style that makes it easier for them to remember the information later, and thus they struggle to remember the information and sometimes they cannot interpret what they wrote in their notes, unlike people who have special strategies for writing notes, which makes the process of information retrieval. To them is very easy.

Because the process of taking notes differs from one person to another, there are 5 different and simple techniques that help us organize writing information and thus simply remember it because it is just reviewing it in a short time.

1- Coronel method

It is one of the oldest note-taking methods developed by a university professor in the 1950s at Coronel University in order to facilitate writing notes for his students, and in this method the person splits the page 3 parts: a right column for writing the main points, a left column for writing an explanation of the main points so that the information is linked together, The bottom is blank for rewriting notes without looking at them after reviewing them.

2- The division method

It is not very different from the Coronel method, in which the page is divided into a right-hand column and a left-hand column, with one being for the main ideas and the other for the most important sub-ideas points.

3- Mind Map

This method is based on the use of diagrams, pictures and writing symbols, where the main and subsidiary notes are taken in the form of drawings that resemble a mind map, and it is one of the most effective ways in which it is easy for us to remember information in it because it is linked in our minds to distinct shapes.

4- Icons and shortcuts

It is not a cumbersome way of writing as it relies on abbreviating words and coding the important points, but it requires effort to remember and memorize the symbols and abbreviations with their connotations in order to facilitate later understanding of the written notes and remember what we mean by them.

5- Writing below keywords

It is one of the most cumbersome ways of writing, but it helps us later to remember the information as soon as we read it, as it depends on writing the main points and then writing the explanations for them underneath them, and the effectiveness of this method depends on organizing writing and avoiding chaos and randomness, otherwise it will become a poor way to remember and review later. .
