Video Formatting and Thoughts About View.ly Video Hosting Platform.
The second vlog turned out to be interesting for sure. There was information about the MyBivy Watch for nightmares, the 22Kill nonprofit to help veterans, had thoughts about the Bitcoin Fork, and let others know about @nepd's hairshare project.
There were major video issues. The formatting turned out all wrong when uploaded. The format on the camera was 4:3 when videos were previously uploaded. This specific video upload had its format setting changed to 16:9 on the camera. After upload, the video had a black box around the whole video.

Part of today will be spent shooting small clips in different formats to ascertain which format is best for upload.
The video itself was very dark in places. I now understand the ISO sensitivity to light being the main complaint about the Powershot ELPH 360 HS. The daily walk was rather late as it was almost 7:30 P.M. before the walk was taken. Will have to remember to go earlier if a video will be shot on the walk.
There have also been posts about a blockchain hosting site called View.ly. I first found out about it from @lydon.sipe in a reply to a story posts. This still needs to be researched in regard to its usefulness as a site to host videos.
Truthfully, I'm kind of torn about using it. While it is blockchain based and decentralized, which I like, how many people are actually using the site? How many eyes will the message actually get in front of?

I understand the benefit of being an early adopter, but will videos about the blockchain and programming be the most popular? Most of the early adopters will be crypto geeks and the information being sought will more than likely be about those subjects. So, how beneficial will the site be to the majority of content I want to post?
Sure, I could just upload the content from Youtube. There's even a specific page to put in the Youtube URL. This will be something I have to internally debate because the content won't be original to View.ly. However, if View.ly is providing a way to directly link your Youtube videos then it may be acceptable to the View.ly culture to upload unoriginal content. It's an interesting debate for sure!
