A Preserved Tradition :: Annual Commemoration of Sacrifice and Death | Living in Faith

Uphold and restore the faith that has been drowned by wordly things and beliefs.

World revolves around the beliefs we thought to be just the sole reasons why the Earth had been made. Science rapidly overruns every corner of the world. With its advacement, we shall admit that it has come to its peak of influence. This influence undeniably put religion at stake. Sometimes, it contradicts everything we believe but never seen. As the saying goes "To see is to believe". However, faith and traditions never subsided along with the forgotten histories.

Today, the christian world mourns as we pay tribute to the sacrifice of the saviour Jesus Christ. Every body is lamenting and celebrate his sacredness. In our small town, we have our annual procession of Saints.

Started with a holy mass which everyone is bound to attend. Then followed by the solemn procession with the different saints. In this way, people can follow any of the saints they desired and repent as they walk along with other devotees. With a group of people praying the rosary, singing the songs of God and repenting and asking for His forgiveness. This is the way we able to praise him for his gloriousness and sacredness.

It is a long journey with one purpose - to show the deepest and sincere faith. It is not by religion but by the belief that makes us alive and gives hope everyday. A lot of people around the world may be asking why are there people like us still embracing traditions while the rest of the world had forgotten those. Simply because its rooted with our ancestors and has been put into mind while we were young. As the saying goes "Even how long the journey is, in church it will end" .

This is a tradition where it is already cultivated in our hearts and minds, let us not forget what our elders taught us. This teachings gave our ancestors the hope in everyday living.
