Top 3 Animes that Made Me Cry

in #life7 years ago

I am a cheery person. Any shallow, corny and worthless jokes can easily make me laugh, though I can also get the humour of intelligent puns. On the other hand, I cry easily, too. My heart is easily touched and easily hurt. (But I'm struggling on the latter part. I'll protect my heart.) I can relate to situations, empathize with the people and understand where they're coming from.

I have mentioned in my Mandatory "IntroduceYourself" Post, that I love watching movies. I watch all genres. This includes anime, a style of Japanese film and television cartoon which is in fact a loanword from the English word "animation" or "animeeshon" in Nihongo. Animes are usually based from manga, the comics created in Japan.

Though I have been crying on a lot of animes, these are the top 3 animes that I'll always remember because I cried my hearts out. So here goes.

TOP 3

Fairy Tail
Fairy Tail is a manga series created by Hiro Mashima first published in 2006. The anime adaptation began broadcasting on October 12, 2009.

Fairy tail revolves around Natsu Dragneel, a wizard from the Fairy Tail guild who is accompanied by an Exceed named Happy. The members use their powers to earn rewards in fulfilling quests. With his friends; Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet and many others, follows Natsu's adventure.

Episode 95: Lisanna is, by far, the chapter that made me cry. Lisanna is the youngest of the Strauss siblings and Natsu's childhood friend. She was believed to be dead 2 years ago after being attacked by Elfman, his older brother, who went berserk in a full body take over. Upon returning home after magic was sucked out of Edolas, a universe parallel to Earth, the Fairy Tail mages learned that the Edolas Lisanna is actually the Earth Land Lisanna who was taken back with them along with some Exceeds. Mirajane and Elfman visited Lisanna's grave but were surprised when they see Lisanna again. Seeing the Strauss siblings reunited again made my heart shed tears. It reminded me of my own siblings; my brother, Keeve and my sister, Kimberly.

Naruto
Naruto is a manga series authored and drawn by Masashi Kishimoto and was released from 1999 to 2014. The anime version premiered across Japan on October 3, 2002. Movies are also released from time to time.

The story follows Uzumaki Naruto, an adolescent who is the son of the former Jinchuuriki (Uzumaki Kushina) and the 4th Hokage (Namikaze Minato). He was sealed with the Nine-Tailed Fox and became the Jinchuuriki himself. In other words, he was an outcast. He sought his way to be recognized by his peers and by the society. His dream was to be the future Hokage of the Village of Konoha(Hidden Leaf).

The movie Naruto: Road to Ninja, showed the alternate reality that Naruto could have had if his parents were alive and were not heroes. My heart was really crushed and warmed in the beginning and at the end of the movie, respectively. Though, there were in-between scenes that are tear-jerking, the beginning which showed how lonely Naruto is was bluer than blue. With no one waiting for him at home, since he is an orphan, made me sad to the bones. He often eat instant ramen and do the chores all by himself. He also didn't have his parents to recommend him in a promotion for jounin.

After experiencing a complete family in the other world, he had to give it up and return to the reality he was formerly in, to defeat their enemy. Mission accomplished. But he was back to that remote apartment he was living in, again. But to his surprise, Iruka, the first sensei (meaning teacher) who gave him recognition was waiting for him. Naruto never get to say, "I'm home!" with excitement and joy because there's no one to tell. However, Iruka was there to welcome him. It was a first. "Welcome home, Naruto!"

One Piece
One Piece is a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda and has been serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 19, 1997. The anime was aired in 1999 produced by Toei animation.

The plot is about a young man named Monkey D. Luffy who wanted to be the King of Pirates and find Gol D. Roger's treasure, the One Piece. In order to achieve his goal, he gathered his crew and sailed the ocean to exciting adventures. His crew is composed of:

  1. Roronoa Zoro, the Swordsman (Luffy's first mate)
  2. Nami, the Navigator
  3. Usopp, the Sniper
  4. Vinsmoke Sanji, the Cook
  5. Tony Tony Chopper, the Ship Doctor
  6. Nico Robin, the Archeologist
  7. Franky, the Shipwright
  8. Soul King Brook, the Musician

The Episodes 311: Everyone Escapes! The Path to Victory is for the Pirates and 312: Thank You Merry! The Sea of Separation in the Snow are the chapters that made me wept like a child. It was when the Straw Hat Pirates rescued Nico Robin from Enies Lobby and have nowhere to go except the sea. To their surprise, the Going Merry, their wrecked ship which was supposedly useless already because it can't sail anymore, saved them.

There was a legend told among seafarers which talks about the Klabautermann. It is said to be an incarnation of a ship that has been well cared for. Merry became a Klabautermann. The spirit of the ship talked to them. It was grateful that she became the Straw Hats' nakama. She wanted to sail with them one last time but it was time to say good bye.

its still a thing but not like it used to be that anime=cartoons so if you watch you are kid etc etc or the thinking that if you watch anime=cosplay, speak like a retard, use anime quetes in your daily life etc etc

Oh no. It's not always like that. People often misinterprets anime fans.

I've always thought Angel Beats! was a tearjerker.

I haven't watched Angel Beats, yet! 😊 I'll check it out, soon!

Watch it!!! The only bad part was that it was too short haha

Let me guess. Is it 13 or 15 episodes only? Boy meets girl kinda anime?

It's mostly about friendship with some romance. Can't spoil it any further :/

Ah! Yes! Very similar with Toradora and Ore Monogatari.

Konnichiwa! :)
I want to sit down with you and talk about One Piece :) Your Top 1 is same with mine. (When it comes to One Piece most teary episodes). I've watched only a few anime and One Piece is one of that. I'm really fascinated how Oda made this anime. He is so brilliant. :)
