What career/Job should I do?
I'm currently doing my A levels in college and i've been struggling to choose what to do after and for me I need something to aim for to motivate me to work. The thought of another three years at university is daunting especially if it's not guaranteed to land me a good job. So I'm asking you as a community to help me choose or at least give me ideas, because you will all likely have very different backgrounds, careers ideas on universities, all will be helpful.
These are the courses im doing at A level:
Games Design
Government & Politics
Ancient History
I also have many other interests:
Cryptocurrency
Technology & Health
I'm currently trying to learn Spanish
Music
Writing
Playing Football
Anything to do with space!!
Plus lots more, so I have lots of interests, which is making it more difficult to decide because I don't want to rule other things out and commit to just one. And of course everyone's aim or most peoples aim is to be successful and make money, I want to do the same and if it means I have to grind away at a Job till I am thirty to be able to do this then I'm prepared for that.
So please comment below any advice for me I would really appreciate it!

I don't like giving advice because I think this is a personal thing. Everyone will have a different opinion but in the end, you have to decide what you want to do. I had so much conflicting advice, it just made me more confused. If there's something academic that appeals to you, go for it. If you want to work and not be a student, do that. Some people think they have to map out their lives and stick to that but there's nothing wrong with trying something and abandoning it for a better option.
Nah I completely understand, I'm quite willing to adapt. And yeah Im not going to be swayed completely by one or two people but if people give me ideas that'll help me understand what things I can do with my interests then I'm all for it.

My choice would be Technology and health. Technology will be a major part of our future and will give you more options if you want to follow more courses later. Cryptocurrency and game design can be easally followed on the side if you want. I assume you already have some basic skills.
Football in my point of view would be nice to do buth not a secure choice if you consider the possability of having an injury in an early stage of your carreer and loose everything you studied fore.
Writing, music and spanish are skills you can develop at any age so unless you are already speaking 4 other languages, playing more than 2 instruments for many years or have ambitions to write whole books to make you anough royalties to feed your family later, i would keep those as a hobby for a few more years.
Yes i'm not really considering some of them as proper career choices, but just ideas that might be linked to some other interest and idea. Technology is an interest and games design would be a good idea to go into because 3d modeling and 2d modeling which is what we are learning to do is the way forward. And I could go into health but it would be difficult with not having a biology A level.

The only advice I'd give is that don't take anything you learn in College as gospel. It's valuable but more valuable is the ability and will to find things out for yourself. As an example I've done a political degree and have been in politics, 2 VERY different things. Hope that wasn't to cynical, good luck!
No I understand that I'm just learning information and in no way applying it, I also value experience over grades but grades are still needed. I worked 9 weeks in manual labor in the summer so I understand how work is different to education. What did you do in politics and what was the degree like?
Great to hear! I worked in a Minister's Office (here in Australia)for about 5 years. It was an interesting time but very different to political science studies. Political history was fascinating to me, it's great to see your interest lies with history too. I actually regret not doing more history. The degree was pretty good and I was fortunate to have some good Professors also.
Sounds decent, was it more admin work then? And also what are you doing now if you don't mind me asking. Yeah I find history really interesting and I'm suprised there is so much politics with ancient history. Augustus (First Roman Emperor) is a really interesting especially how he uses politics.
The was a lot of parliamentary work (parliamentary questions and such), but also policy work, research etc. Also liaising with relevant departments.
I'm actually in the middle of leaving my current job and relocating back to Western Australia, currently in Melbourne, Victoria. When I get back I've got quite a few options but I really want to concentrate on music. Both writing and recording. Want to eventually get to the point I can record other artists/bands in my home studio.
The French revolution was also very interesting politically.
Oh ok, sounds resonbly interesting, I love music myself and a lot of my other content on steemit it about music you should check it out, I wish I could play an instrument that would help. Well good luck because that would be a really interesting career.

Yeah I've checked out a few of your music posts. I'm sure I'll be seeing more in the future. Just as an aside, there's plenty careers in the music industry that don't involve playing an instrument. Musicians (the disorganised bunch that we are) are always in need of organised people!

Hey man, I'm a junior and I still don't really know what I want to do. Don't sweat it, and contrary to what other people might say, explore your passions, side hobbies and hustles. Make good investments in cryptocurrencies and other stocks, etfs. Continue to post content on Steemit in a niche and you will start to earn passive income as well as make good investments for your future. I am not too worried about my future because I have found the crypto community and this space that has so much potential to grow and so much profitability potential that we may live comfortably in a few years from now. Nonetheless, explore career areas as well that pique your interest. If you are highly highly passionate about something you will do a good job and be motivated to find opportunities. If you are not, your performance will suffer. Passion comes first, motivation follows.
Yeah I completely agree with that, but as i'm under 18 it's a lot harder to invest into things like crypto and stocks without others help witch is very frustrating, but i've still made a decent amount. Have you heard of Alan Watts I love this quote here:
"Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing than a long life spent in a miserable way. And after all, if you do really like what you’re doing, it doesn’t matter what it is, you can eventually turn it – you could eventually become a master of it. It’s the only way to become a master of something, to be really with it. And then you’ll be able to get a good fee for whatever it is."
Hey it's much better than a lot of other kids under 18 and it's a start. I'm turning 21 soon. Thank you for that quote, those are words to live by. To be honest, crypto and steemit, even though I am relatively new in this space as well as interacting with like minded people on discord has given me a lot of joy, happiness as well as motivation and passion. I love the decentralization that it is building and how its changing certain social, economic and professional standards. And I love the buzz, the learning. the trading, the worrying, the mania, the ups and downs that come with it. I am only now starting to truly open up my mind and pursue my interests without a damn for what others think or want me to do. And if I fail, fuck it, right? At least I'll fail following my passions rather than succeed following a system that I don't believe in.
