Living in Italy - Presolana

Today I introduce you? The Presolana. They call it the "Queen of the Orobie" is the Presolana (2,521 m). The Presolana, although not the highest mountain in the province of Bergamo (the Pizzo Coca reaches 3,050 m) is certainly the most fascinating and presents itself in all its greatness in an imposing limestone massif. The massif is situated between the Po plain and the western Retiche Alps and houses some of the richest mineral deposits and fossils of the Alps. Already from the first half of the nineteenth century recalled the interest of Italian mountaineers and climbers. At its foot there are the ski lifts for winter sports (in particular downhill skiing) of Colere and Passo della Presolana. Castione della Presolana and its "queen", together with the surrounding countries (Dorga and Bratto) are tourist localities of a certain importance. I hope you enjoyed my photos.
