Pakistan's suicide hits the Asia Cup
In the Asia Cup, after losing a bet on the Bangladesh-Pakistan match, 30 thousand rupees was lost, and finally a Pakistani named Mohammad Shafiq chose suicide. On Friday, the online version of Pakistan's Dawn newspaper said that 50-year-old Shafiq used to serve as junior clerk in irrigation department of Punjab. Shafiq's brother Mohammed Ramzan quoted Dawn as saying that due to the loss of Pakistan in the Asia Cup on Wednesday, 30 000 rupees were lost in the betting.
So he committed suicide on Thursday. Ramjan said, 'After losing money in the match, my brother committed suicide.' Shafiq succumbed to his fan with a fan on the second floor of the office building. When they came to know about the police, they came and took Shafiq's dead body to the morgue.After the formal formalization, Shafiq's body was handed over to the family. Investigation Officer ASI Manzur said that Shafiq has been associated with gambling for cricket matches over the last few years. He committed suicide in the Asia Cup after losing the gambling in the Bangladesh-Pakistan match.
