Tonight I held a Bible (Torah) study with a friend.
Today's post is about the Bible study we held tonight here on Vancouver Island Canada.
It was a study on this weeks Torah Portion which is called Jethro (Ex 18:1-20:23).
We Use a Bible version called the Complete Jewish Bible. (Picture below).
We read the verses from this Bible most every week and then read from a commentary book out of a program I have purchased called Torah Club by First Fruits of Zion.
This weeks reading was about the ten Commandments.
Here is a picture of myself reading from the commentary.
We learned about the third commandment to not take the Lords name in vain. In the video below I discuss why we should not use the name of God (YHVH) very often but to guard it and keep it holy so as not to transgress the third commandment.
Next is my friend Ryan.
In the video below he talks about the forth Commandment about the Sabbath and what constitutes "work".
